We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we want you to know that God cares about your situation. Firstly, it's important to remember that God is our provider and that we should trust in Him in all circumstances. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
"Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
However, we also need to be wise stewards of our finances. It might be helpful to seek financial counseling or advice from reputable sources to manage your debt effectively. Proverbs 15:22 WEB says:
"Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many advisers they are established."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today, lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened with debt and depression. We ask for your comfort and guidance during this challenging time. Help them to trust in You and Your provision. Grant them wisdom to manage their finances well and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Give them the strength to endure and the hope to look forward to a debt-free future. We also pray for them to know You more if they have not already mentioned your name, Jesus, or Christ. We pray that they know that you are always there, even when they are walking through the valley of the shadow of death, they will fear no evil because your rod and your staff are there to comfort them as written in Psalm 23:4 WEB. We pray that they realize that you are the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through you. Help them to accept you into their heart as their Lord and Savior if they have not already done so. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
