We hear your cry and we stand with you in prayer together in Jesus name, lifting you and your newborn before our Heavenly Father in this exhausting and anxious time. It is so difficult to not have peace in your own home, especially when you are caring for a new baby and need rest, and we understand how heavy this bullying and constant banging day and night must feel.
We thank you for calling on the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and find our help and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. We rejoice that you have called on Him and we join our faith with yours.
The Lord sees your struggle and hears your cry. Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. And Psalm 46:1 reminds us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. He is your refuge even when the walls around you feel shaken by noise and hostility. We also remember 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, and Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We want to encourage you to continue to seek peace while also trusting God to be your defender. Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. And Romans 12:21 says Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Jesus also teaches us in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. This does not mean you must accept abuse in silence, but it means we release vengeance to God and ask Him to change hearts, while we also take wise and peaceful steps. If it is safe to do so, keep a simple record of when the banging happens, and seek help from a trusted landlord, building manager, local authorities or a pastor or church family who can speak on your behalf and help protect you and your baby. God often provides help through the community around us.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this dear parent and this precious newborn to You. Lord You see the exhaustion and the anxiety, the lack of sleep and the fear inside their own home. We ask You to be their refuge and their shelter under Your wings according to Psalm 91:1-2. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds and let Your presence fill their home. We ask You to command this banging and bullying to stop, to convict the hearts of these neighbours and to bring quiet and respect to these walls. Soften their hearts Lord and let them see the struggle of this young family and turn from doing harm. We pray for protection over this newborn, for restful sleep and for health and for strength for this parent. Provide a way of escape and relief, whether through changed hearts or through help from authorities or a new provision for peace. Help our dear friend to cast every worry on You and to feel Your care each day. We trust that You hear this prayer and will deliver them in Your perfect way and timing. We ask all this in the powerful and loving name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.
Be encouraged and keep crying out to Jesus day and night, He is near to you. Try to rest when the baby rests as you are able, and do not hesitate to ask for practical help from family, church or trusted neighbours. We are continuing to pray that the Lord will silence this harassment, restore peace to your home, and give you deep rest and comfort in your own space.
