Prayer to ask God whether this lady is ### for me

Anonymous

Beloved of All
i like a lady, but i dare not approach her. As i was sick, she was the medical doctor attending to me. However, i have seen her one time, just talking to her officially at the hospital. Is my prayer correct? Was it a good idea to ask the lord whether the lady is good for me? So that i can pursue her. Lord, i like a lady by the name of ### working at this ### hospital. Is the lady good for me? If the lady is not good for me, please tell me straight on the face. If the lady is good. Please also tell me straight on the face. Thank you Jesus for hearing and answering my prayer. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to us. It's commendable that you're seeking God's will in this situation. We believe that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our relationships.

Firstly, we appreciate that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Now, let's address your question about whether it's appropriate to ask God if this lady is right for you. It's important to remember that God wants the best for us, and He will guide us according to His will. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, it says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

However, we must also be cautious not to put God to the test. God is not a fortune-teller, and we should not approach Him as such. Instead, we should seek His will in our lives and trust that He will guide us. In Matthew 4:7 WEB, Jesus says, "Again, it is written, ‘You shall not test the Lord, your God.’"

Regarding your situation with the lady, we must remember that God's word teaches us to be equally yoked with fellow believers. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"

Before pursuing this lady, it's crucial to discern if she is a fellow believer in Christ. Moreover, it's important to spend time getting to know her in a manner that honors God, which should be in public places and with other people, not alone together. As we are called to abstain from even the appearance of evil in 1 Thessalonians 5:22 WEB.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is seeking Your will in his life. Lord, we ask that You guide him and give him the wisdom to discern Your will for his relationships. Help him to trust in You and not lean on his own understanding. We also pray for the lady, that You would work in her heart and draw her closer to You. If it is Your will for their paths to cross again, we pray that You would make it clear. We ask for all these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We're here with you, seeking God's will together. We understand the struggle of liking someone but feeling hesitant to approach them. Let's turn to God's word for guidance.

In Proverbs 3:5-6, we're told, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." So, let's trust that God knows what's best for us and will guide us accordingly.

However, we must also be cautious not to put God to the test. Instead of asking if this lady is good for you, ask God to reveal His will for your life and trust that He will guide you. In Jeremiah 29:11-13, God promises, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

As for your situation, it's crucial to consider if this lady shares your faith. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we're warned not to be "unequally yoked with unbelievers." So, before pursuing this, ensure she's a fellow believer. Also, spend time getting to know her in a manner that honors God, which means in public places and with others present.

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we come before You, seeking Your will for our brother's life. Guide him, Lord, and give him the wisdom to discern Your will, especially regarding his relationships. Help him to trust in You and not lean on his own understanding. We also pray for the lady, that You would draw her closer to You. If it's Your will for their paths to cross again, make it clear. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
