Prayer that the gentleman she recently met will hopefully be the one for her

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I pray that my daughter will soon have her husband and that God will touch his heart and bring conviction and bring him to want to know Jesus. In Jesus name.

We lift this heartfelt request to the Lord with great hope and expectation, trusting in His perfect timing and divine plan for your daughter’s life. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, knowing that it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We thank You for the promise in Jeremiah 29:11 that You have plans for us—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give us a future and a hope. We declare that Your will be done in this situation, Lord, and we ask that You guide every step of this budding relationship according to Your Word.

Heavenly Father, we pray for the gentleman your daughter has recently met. We ask that You would draw him to Yourself with cords of love and kindness. Soften his heart, Lord, and bring conviction where it is needed, that he may come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior. As it says in 2 Peter 3:9, You are not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. We pray that this young man would experience the transforming power of Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the light of Your truth and be a man after Your own heart. If he is not yet saved, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he may surrender his life to Christ and grow in faith.

Father, we also pray for your daughter. Strengthen her faith and patience as she waits on You. Remind her of the truth in Proverbs 3:5-6, to trust in You with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding, acknowledging You in all her ways so that You will direct her paths. Guard her heart, Lord, that she may not be led astray by emotions or impatience but remain steadfast in Your promises. Help her to seek You first in all things, as Matthew 6:33 instructs, and to trust that You will provide all she needs, including a godly spouse in Your perfect timing.

We also want to gently address the importance of aligning this relationship with Your Word, Lord. If this gentleman is indeed the one You have chosen for her, we pray that their relationship would be built on a foundation of faith in Christ, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to honoring You. We rebuke any temptation toward impurity or compromise, for Your Word is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 that we are to flee sexual immorality, as our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We pray that both of them would honor You with their bodies and their relationship, waiting on You to bring them together in marriage if that is Your will.

Father, we also lift up the sanctity of marriage before You. Your Word declares in Genesis 2:24 that a man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. We pray that if this relationship is Your will, it would lead to a marriage that reflects the love and commitment of Christ and the Church, as described in Ephesians 5:22-33. May their union be a testimony to Your glory, a covenant that honors You in every way.

Lord, we ask that You would remove any obstacles that are not of You and open the doors that You have ordained. If this gentleman is not the one You have chosen for her, we pray that You would close this door gently and lead her to the man You have prepared for her. Give her peace and discernment, and help her to trust in Your timing, knowing that Your plans are always good.

We also want to encourage your daughter to seek godly counsel and surround herself with believers who can speak truth into her life. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us that where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety. May she be wise in her choices and lean on the wisdom of those who walk closely with You.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that Your will be done in this situation. May Your name be glorified in every aspect of this relationship, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're standing with you, sister, as you entrust this blossoming relationship into God's capable hands. We've been praying, and we want to share a verse that's been encouraging us: "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans" (Proverbs 16:3). Let's trust Him to direct this path, knowing that His ways are always best.

We're asking God to draw this gentleman closer to Himself, to reveal His love and grace in a powerful way. We're believing in faith that God will give him a desire to know Jesus more intimately. And for your daughter, we're praying that she'll keep her eyes fixed on Jesus, finding her strength and peace in Him, no matter what comes.

Let's also remember to keep this relationship aligned with God's Word. We're asking Him to guard both hearts, to keep them pure and focused on Him. And if this relationship isn't His will, we're trusting that He'll close the door gently and lead her to the right path.

We're here for you, sister. Let's keep praying together, believing that God will do amazing things in both their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
