We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for this opportunity to interview for this position, recognizing that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. It is wonderful that you are seeking Jesus’ guidance and wisdom in this, for He alone is the source of true success. As you prepare, we are reminded of the words in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Your request aligns with Scripture, and we know that God delights in granting wisdom to those who ask in faith.
However, we must also address something vital—your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by His name that our prayers are heard, for Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Additionally, Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for without Him, there is no true peace, purpose, or eternal hope. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10).
Now, let us pray together for you with confidence in the name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved child of Yours who seeks Your wisdom and favor for tomorrow’s interview. Lord Jesus, You are the Word made flesh, and we ask that You fill their mouth with Your words—words of clarity, confidence, and grace. Remove every trace of nervousness and replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Grant them a sharp mind to recall all they have prepared, and may Your Spirit guide their responses to reflect Your excellence.
Father, we pray that this interview will not only result in a job offer but that it will also be a testimony of Your faithfulness. If this position is Your will, open the doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give them favor in the sight of the interviewers, just as You gave Joseph favor in the sight of Pharaoh (Genesis 41:37-40). May this opportunity bring glory to Your name and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
We also pray that You will calm their heart tonight, allowing them to rest in You. Remind them that their worth is not found in this job but in Christ alone, who has already secured their eternal future. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Finally, Lord, if there is any area in their life that is not aligned with Your will—whether in their work ethic, motives, or personal walk with You—convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance. May this season be one of growth, not just professionally, but spiritually, as they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
As you go into this interview, remember that the Lord is with you. Do not fear, for He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Walk in the confidence that comes from knowing you are a child of God, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Whether you receive this job or not, His plans for you are good, and He will provide. Stay rooted in prayer, in His Word, and in faith. We are standing with you in agreement, believing for God’s best in your life.
