Disciple of Prayer
My dear mother had a stroke and her brain was bleeding her in the ICU unit in the hospital she could not breathe on her own completely so they put her on a breathing machine. I can't stop throwing up; I think it's all the stress. The hospital is calling me, telling me if I made a decision yet because they don't want to keep her there anymore, and I have limited time to make a choice. If it was their mothers, I bet they wouldn't be acting like that. I don't know what to do; I tell them just give me some more time, and I hung up on that rude individual. I ain't God; I don't know what the right choice is yet. I don't want my mom's to suffer, but at the same time, maybe she's alive for a reason. They say I should just take her off life support, or my only other options are to let them put a trac in her throat and a g tube in her stomach. I told them just because she doesn't talk yet, or because she cannot breathe 100 percent of her own yet doesn't mean that she should die; only God should make that choice. So now they are forcing me to decide to let them put trac in her throat and g tube in her stomach, and I rather she have all that done (if really necessary at ### hospital). Not there at that hospital, but they said she cannot be transferred, and they have doctors call me back. I said yes, please do because there's no good reason she can't be transferred, and I don't want it done there, so someone must figure something out, and it's not going to be me. I just need peace of mind and understand that is my mother, and I will not just give up on her in her time of need.
Update: Refused to transfer My mom to ### hospital; they claim my mother was stable enough, and ### wouldn't take her because they didn't have any available beds, and her condition was not serious enough to get them to make an exception. I personally don't believe they even called ###, but "who knows." Anyways, my mother has been transferred to a long-term nursing home care hospital. She still isn't responding; the doctor said she opens her eyes and she definitely responds to pain. But, no response to his questions or his commands like squeeze of his hand and letting go when he asks her. He told me he had an MRI and x-ray done yesterday of her brain so he could look at it himself and also to make sure her brain was not still bleeding even though the other hospital reported it not to be an issue anymore; he just wanted to see for himself. The good news is it's not bleeding and doesn't have any swelling around the damage area. He said it was a pretty decent size bleed and that it's possible she has memory loss and that she might be in a state of not being able to understand what's going on, though he couldn't say that was for sure an issue, just a possibility.
Here are a few prayers I have prayed in the ICU room with her and at home daily. I also put holy water on her. Before I said the prayers each time over her. I then said the prayers out loud right next to her bed. I'd appreciate if everyone could pray for my precious mother ### to be healed and restored to full health physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. That she would be able to come back home with me as soon as possible. I miss her dearly.
Heavenly Father, I lift my mom to you and ask for a miracle. She has been ill and hasn’t been able to recover. She greatly needs You, Lord. Touch her body and let it start to work properly. Line up what needs to be lined up and let her organs work how You created them to work. Give her long life, Lord, and a life that’s filled with health and joy in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Father God, I come before you asking for Your healing presence to come in power over my mom. I ask that You come and bring a miracle to my mom’s body. That all pain, illness, and weakness would be replaced with healing, strength, and life. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen!
