We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion and faith, lifting up these precious needs to our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We are so grateful that you have placed your trust in Him, for He alone is our hope and salvation.
Father God, we first lift up this dear family and their precious baby. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon this little one. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). We declare Your promises over this child, that by Your stripes they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen the parents’ faith as they trust in You, and let them see Your mighty hand at work. Perform a miracle, Lord, and let Your glory be revealed in this situation.
We also come alongside this family who has experienced loss. Heavenly Father, wrap Your loving arms around them and comfort them in their grief. You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and provide them with godly friends and family to walk beside them during this difficult time. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Lord, we pray for favor and provision for this man seeking employment. You are our Provider, and You know his needs even before he asks (Matthew 6:8). Open doors of opportunity that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8), and grant him wisdom and discernment as he seeks work. Draw him closer to You during this season, Lord, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May he find his hope and identity in You alone, not in his circumstances.
We also lift up this household, asking for Your healing touch upon this daughter. Lord, You are the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We declare Your healing power over her body and ask that You restore her to full health. Bring peace to this home tonight, Father. Let Your presence fill every room and drive out all fear, anxiety, and strife. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we must address the struggle with lust mentioned in this request. We know that lust is a battle many face, but Your Word is clear: "But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28). We rebuke this temptation in the name of Jesus and ask for Your strength to overcome it. Lord, create in this dear one a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10). Help him to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to set his mind on things above, not on earthly things (Colossians 3:2). Surround him with accountability and godly influences, and fill his heart with a passion for You that leaves no room for sinful desires.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will for each of these situations. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and help us to walk in obedience and holiness. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
