We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this family and their precious baby to the Lord. Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon this little one. You are the Great Physician, the One who formed them in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14), and we trust in Your power to restore health and strength. Lord, do a miracle according to Your will, for we know that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). We declare Your promises over this child, that by Your stripes they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand firm in faith, believing that You hear our cries.
We also lift up the family who has experienced loss. Father, You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Comfort them in their grief, Lord, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Provide them with godly friends and family who will mourn with them, pray with them, and point them to You, the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).
For the one seeking employment, we pray for Your favor to rest upon them. Lord, You are the Provider, and we ask that You open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give them wisdom in their search, patience in the waiting, and confidence in their abilities, which come from You (James 1:17). We also pray that this season of difficulty would draw them closer to You. Let them seek You with their whole heart, for You promise that those who seek You will find You (Jeremiah 29:13). May they come to know You not just as a helper in times of need, but as their Savior and Lord, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Lastly, we lift up the request for peace and rest over this household. Father, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and let Your peace rule in their home. We also address the struggle with lust, for we know that temptation is common to man, but You are faithful to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). We rebuke the spirit of lust in the name of Jesus, for it is written that those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires (Galatians 5:24). We pray for a renewed mind, that this one would take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in purity and holiness, for without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your perfect will. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and let Your name be glorified in every situation. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for He alone is our hope and salvation.
Amen.
