We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family to our Heavenly Father. First and foremost, we rejoice that this prayer is offered in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach God and find salvation. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We are grateful that this prayer acknowledges His lordship, for it is only through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to the Father’s mercy and grace.
Father God, we lift up baby ### to You, the Author and Giver of life. You knit this little one together in their mother’s womb, and You know every detail of their being (Psalm 139:13-14). We ask for Your healing hand to rest upon them, Lord. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You. We declare Your promise from Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" Strengthen this child, Lord, and perform a miracle in their body. May their family witness Your power and glory in this situation, and may their faith in You grow deeper as they see Your hand at work.
We also lift up the ### family as they grieve their loss. Father, You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Comfort them in their sorrow, Lord, and wrap Your arms around them in this time of pain. Surround them with brothers and sisters in Christ who will weep with them, pray with them, and remind them of Your promises. May they find solace in Your Word, which tells us in Revelation 21:4 that one day You will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain. Until that day, Lord, be their peace and their strength.
For ###, we pray for Your divine favor to rest upon him as he seeks employment. You are the God who provides, and we trust that You will open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give him wisdom and discernment as he applies for jobs, and may he find a workplace that honors You and allows him to use his gifts for Your glory. We also pray that during this difficult season, he would draw near to You, Lord. You promise in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." May this trial be a catalyst for him to seek You with all his heart, and may he come to know You as his Savior and Redeemer if he does not already.
Lastly, we lift up the one who submitted this prayer, asking for Your peace to guard their household tonight. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for restful sleep and protection over their home, both physically and spiritually. Father, we also take seriously the request for help against lust. We know that sin crouches at the door, and its desire is for us, but we must rule over it (Genesis 4:7). We rebuke the spirit of lust in the name of Jesus, for Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 to flee sexual immorality and to honor You with our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit. We pray for a renewed mind and a heart that desires purity. Fill this dear one with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and holiness. Remind them of Your promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You on behalf of these dear ones. We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. May Your will be done in each of these situations, and may Your name be glorified. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
