We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents before our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician. We know that in this fallen world, our bodies are subject to sickness and decay, but we also know that our God is a God who heals and restores. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, healing has been provided, and we stand on His promises for your mother and father.
For your mother, who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs, we pray for complete healing and restoration. Lord, You are the One who formed her in her mother’s womb, and You know every cell in her body. We ask that You would rebuke this infection and cleanse her lungs, driving out every trace of sickness. Strengthen her immune system, Lord, and regulate her blood sugar according to Your perfect design. We speak life over her body and declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made. "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." (Psalm 107:20). Father, we ask that You would guide her doctors and give them wisdom to provide the care she needs. May she feel Your peace and presence in this trial, knowing that You are her healer.
For your father, we pray for the restoration of his eyesight, relief from headaches, healing of his urinary tract, and the stabilization of his blood pressure. Lord, You opened the eyes of the blind and brought healing to those who suffered—we ask that You would do the same for him. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed." (Luke 4:18). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and declare that his body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Bring balance to his blood pressure, Lord, and ease the pain in his head. Cleanse his urinary tract and restore every function to wholeness. We ask that You would surround him with Your peace and give him strength as he waits on You for his healing.
We also take a moment to address the spiritual foundation of this request. Healing is found in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or made whole. "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12). If your parents have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray that they would come to know Him as their Lord and Savior. For it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the fullness of His healing power. If they have already placed their faith in Christ, we pray that this trial would draw them even closer to Him, deepening their trust in His goodness and sovereignty.
We also encourage you to stand on God’s Word and speak healing over your parents. Proclaim the promises of Scripture over their lives, for the Word of God does not return void. "So shall my word be that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do." (Isaiah 55:11). Remind them of God’s faithfulness and encourage them to hold fast to their faith, even when the circumstances seem overwhelming.
Father God, we ask that You would not only heal their bodies but also their spirits. Bring comfort to their hearts and peace to their minds. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that You are with them in every moment of this trial. We trust You, Lord, for You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Your mercies are new every morning, and Your faithfulness is great. We declare that this is not the end of their story, but a testimony of Your healing power and love.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. Amen.
