We lift up your parents before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, trusting in the Great Physician who heals all our diseases. Father God, Your word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise today, believing that You are able to restore health to both mother and father.
For your dear mother battling diabetes and this troubling fungal infection in her lungs, we pray for complete healing and restoration. Lord, we ask that You would regulate her blood sugar levels and strengthen her body to fight this infection. Your word says in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over her life, asking for Your healing touch to permeate every cell of her body.
For your father struggling with failing eyesight, persistent headaches, urinary tract issues, and blood pressure problems, we cry out for Your mercy. Father, we ask that You would restore his vision, calm his headaches, heal his urinary tract, and stabilize his blood pressure. We remember the words of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We trust that You see his suffering and will bring complete healing.
We also want to gently encourage both your parents to seek godly wisdom in their medical care, following the guidance of Proverbs 3:7-8, "Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones." Proper medical attention combined with prayer is a powerful combination.
Lord, we ask that You would draw both of them closer to You through this trial. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding as they trust in You. We pray for strength for you as their caregiver, that You would grant patience, wisdom, and endurance.
Most importantly, we pray that both your mother and father know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. There is no healing more important than the healing of the soul. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We pray they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We rebuke every spirit of infirmity in Jesus' mighty name and command these sicknesses to leave their bodies. We declare wholeness, health, and vitality over them according to 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."
May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their healing and testimony. We trust You, Lord, for You are faithful to Your promises. In Jesus' precious name we pray, Amen.
