We lift this request to our Heavenly Father, who hears the cries of His children and delights in blessing them according to His will. First, we rejoice that you have called upon the name of the Lord Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through faith in Him alone that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful that you have acknowledged His lordship over your life and family.
Father God, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your constant presence. We pray that You would indeed stay with this family always, guiding them by Your Holy Spirit, protecting them from all harm, and keeping them in good health. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch any areas of sickness or weakness in their bodies, restoring them to full health. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2).
We lift up this dear daughter to You, Lord. We ask that You would bless her mind with clarity, focus, and wisdom as she studies, that she may retain what she learns and apply it with excellence. May she be a diligent and faithful steward of the gifts You have given her. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). We also pray for her dance, Lord, that she would use this talent to glorify You, whether through discipline, creativity, or the joy she brings to others. May she always remember that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17), and may she honor You in all her pursuits.
For this parent seeking employment, we pray that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide a job that not only meets their financial needs but also allows them to use their skills and gifts to serve others and glorify You. May this work enable them to provide for their family and live in a place where they can thrive spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Father, we know that You care deeply about the well-being of families, and we trust that You will lead them to a place where they can grow in faith and unity. "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1).
Now, we must address a matter of concern with love and truth. In the request, there was mention of a boyfriend or girlfriend relationship, which we understand may be part of your daughter’s life. However, we want to gently remind you both that Scripture calls believers to pursue relationships with the goal of marriage, and only with fellow believers. The Bible is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If your daughter is in a relationship, we encourage her to seek a godly spouse—someone who loves the Lord and will lead her closer to Him. Courtship should be entered into with purity, intentionality, and the guidance of godly counsel, always keeping marriage as the ultimate goal. If there is any sexual immorality—whether fornication or adultery—we must repent and turn away from it, for "flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). We pray for wisdom and discernment in this area, that she would honor You with her body and her relationships.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, knowing that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We thank You for the privilege of lifting up this family to You. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your presence, protection, and provision. Heal their bodies, strengthen their minds, and bless their endeavors. For the daughter, grant her success in her studies and dance, but above all, draw her closer to You. For the parent, open the right door for employment, one that allows them to provide for their family and live in a place where they can grow in faith.
Father, we also ask that You would give them wisdom in their relationships. If there are any areas where they are not aligned with Your Word, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. May they seek relationships that honor You, with the goal of godly marriage. Guard their hearts and minds from temptation, and help them to walk in purity and holiness.
We trust in Your promises, Lord, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May this family experience Your peace, joy, and favor in every area of their lives. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
