Prayer request

We lift up this request with heavy hearts, standing in the gap for our brother or sister who is enduring stomach and gastric pain. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We know that even in physical suffering, the Lord is close, and He hears the cries of His children.

First, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved or healed. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Without Him, we cannot approach God in prayer or expect His healing touch.

Now, we come together in faith, believing that God is our Great Physician. We rebuke this pain in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for Isaiah 53:5 declares, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." We claim this healing over your body, trusting that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work within you.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment. James 1:5 says, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." If this pain is a result of stress, poor diet, or unconfessed sin, we ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you so that you may make the necessary changes. Confess any sin that may be hindering your healing, for Psalm 66:18 warns, "If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened." Let us walk in repentance and obedience, for 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Father God, we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our dear one who is in pain. We ask You to touch their body and bring complete healing to their stomach and digestive system. Lord, we know that You are the God who heals, and we stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We declare that this pain has no place in their body, and we command it to leave in Jesus’ name.

We also pray for peace and comfort to surround them. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard their heart and mind as they wait on You.

Lord, we ask for wisdom in seeking medical care if needed. Guide them to the right doctors, treatments, or remedies that will bring relief. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We trust You to direct their steps and provide the care they need.

Finally, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You. Romans 8:28 assures us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." May this season of pain be used to strengthen their faith, deepen their dependence on You, and bring glory to Your name.

We declare healing over you in the name of Jesus Christ. We speak life to every cell in your body and command every organ to function as God designed. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is ours in Christ Jesus. May this prayer bring comfort, hope, and healing to our dear one. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
