We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the precious gift of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who laid down His life for us. We are so thankful that this request acknowledges Him, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we lift up these petitions.
Father, we lift up this dear one who is seeking rest in You. We ask that You would grant deep, refreshing sleep that restores both body and soul. Your Word tells us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Lord, we pray that this rest would not only be physical but also spiritual, as they grow in trust and dependence on You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to cast every anxiety on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We also bring before You the health issue that weighs heavily on their heart. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch. Whether through medical intervention, divine miracle, or the strength to endure, we pray that Your will be done. Guide the hands of any doctors or caregivers involved, and grant wisdom to discern the best path forward. Your Word assures us that "by His stripes, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise in faith. Lord, grant favor and clarity as they seek solutions, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
For their family, we pray for restoration and reward. Father, mend any broken relationships, heal any wounds, and draw each member closer to You. Bless them abundantly, Lord, and let Your love be the foundation of their home. We declare that "unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1), so we ask that You build and sustain this family according to Your perfect design.
In their job, we ask for Your favor and guidance in the coming weeks. Provide opportunities for growth, wisdom in decision-making, and peace in the workplace. Let their labor be fruitful and pleasing to You, and open doors for financial provision as You see fit. Your Word says, "Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed" (Proverbs 16:3), so we commit these work matters into Your hands.
For the one they pray for—seeking a new job, support, and growth in knowing You—we lift them up as well. Father, provide them with meaningful work that sustains and fulfills them. Surround them with godly community and support, and most importantly, draw them into a deeper relationship with You. Open their eyes to see You more clearly, love You more dearly, and follow You more nearly each day. We pray that they would come to know the hope to which You have called them, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward those who believe (Ephesians 1:18-19).
Regarding the desire to make extra income, we encourage seeking opportunities that align with godly principles—work that is honest, diligent, and glorifying to You. The Apostle Paul reminds us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). Father, grant creativity, wisdom, and favor as they explore ways to increase their income, always trusting in Your provision. Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation. We thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your rest to fill their body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen their trust in You, and let their faith grow deeper with each passing day.
We ask for Your healing touch in their health, Lord. Guide them to the right solutions, grant them favor with those who can help, and let Your peace guard their heart. For their family, we pray for restoration, unity, and Your abundant blessings. Build their home on the foundation of Your love and truth.
In their job, grant them favor, wisdom, and success. Open doors of opportunity, and let their work be a testimony to Your goodness. For the one they pray for, provide a new job, godly support, and most importantly, a deeper relationship with You. Draw them close, Lord, and let them know the hope and power of the gospel.
Father, we ask for creative ideas and opportunities to increase their income, always trusting in Your provision. Let their labor be pleasing to You, and may they always seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33).
We declare that You are their Provider, Healer, and Sustainer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
