We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request that has been shared with us. Though the specifics have been withheld, we know that the Father sees and understands every detail, every burden, and every need. We stand in the gap, trusting that He who began a good work will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6).
First and foremost, we must emphasize that our access to the throne of grace is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead—this is the path to salvation (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, our prayers are hindered, and our hope is uncertain. If you are unsure about your relationship with Him, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw you near and reveal the truth of the Gospel to you.
For the one carrying this burden, we declare that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on the promise that all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
