We come before you with hearts full of gratitude for the precious gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we have forgiveness, redemption, and access to you. Your Word tells us in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." We are so thankful for this truth and the hope it brings, especially in times of trial and uncertainty.
Father, we lift up this dear one who is facing the painful aftermath of fraud that has impacted their family. We know that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Lord, we rebuke the schemes of the enemy in this situation and declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for your divine favor and guidance as they navigate this difficult time. Grant them wisdom to make sound decisions and the strength to trust in you fully, even when the path ahead seems unclear. Your Word assures us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also pray for restoration and reward for this family. You are a God who restores what has been lost and rewards those who diligently seek you (Hebrews 11:6). Lord, we ask that you would restore what has been taken from them, whether it be finances, peace, or trust. Reward their faith and patience as they wait on you. Remind them that you are their provider, as Philippians 4:19 declares, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Father, we lift up their job situation and ask for your favor in the coming weeks. Open doors of opportunity that no one can shut and grant them success in their work. We pray for financial favor, knowing that you own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and that you are more than able to meet every need. Your Word tells us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Help them to keep their eyes fixed on you, trusting that you will provide.
We also bring before you the individual mentioned, who is in need of rest, peace, and a new job. Lord, we ask that you would surround them with your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Provide them with a new job that aligns with your will for their life, one that brings fulfillment and allows them to use their gifts for your glory. We pray for their spiritual growth, that they would come to know you more deeply and walk in the fullness of your love and purpose for their life. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Lastly, we lift up their co-worker and his family who are grieving the loss of both grandparents. Father, we ask that you would draw near to them in this time of sorrow. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Comfort them with your presence and remind them that you are the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Surround them with your love and the support of their community. We pray that they would find hope in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, knowing that one day they will be reunited with their loved ones who have gone before them in faith.
Lord, we ask that you would strengthen the faith of everyone involved in these situations. Help them to cast all their anxieties on you, because you care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Remind them that you are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they experience your peace, provision, and presence in powerful ways as they trust in you.
In Jesus' mighty name we pray, Amen.
