Prayer Request

My name is ### and I need your prayers. I need help please for me. I was married to a guy named ### that marriage didn’t work because of physical and mental abuse. We are divorced and I am not interested in that guy and his family anymore because he has moved on in his life; he will be getting married again to another girl. Really, I feel God saved me from such a toxic family. I am in love with one Punjabi guy named ### (###) ### from past 3 months. We have been in a relationship for the past 3 months, involved with each other, but I don’t know what makes him angry in every meeting. I am clueless about what happened to him; why he is angry and not talking properly. This behavior of his is giving me anxiety and anxiousness. Please pray for a good, healthy relationship with him, which will eventually lead to marriage. Make his heart soft and tender. Make him understand my pain. I am feeling anxious; I have anxiety about losing him. Please heal this relationship. I want this to work. He has seen a lot of struggle in life, which has made his heart hard and stone-hearted. I really want to love him with my whole heart and give him all his love. He has lost both his parents at an early age. After their death, he came to know he is an adopted child. He fell in love with a girl deeply, and the girl cheated on him; the girl tried to commit suicide. He is all alone in his life. He hates God because he thinks God took everything from him. I give him all the love, but his stone-hearted behavior and selfishness hurt me. Sometimes he shows love, sometimes he doesn’t. I never want him to leave him alone; give him all love and stay with him, get married. Please please pray for our love and marriage. At the start, he showed me so much love, and now he doesn’t care because of angry issues. Please pray for me; my heart is in pain. Also, please pray for my job. I am expecting an 8-9 lakh package. Currently, I am jobless, looking for a job in ###. I am facing disappointment and rejection in job too. Please pray and fast for me.

We lift you up in prayer and speak truth into your life with love, knowing that God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. First, we rejoice with you that God delivered you from an abusive marriage—a marriage that was never His design, for He calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church, sacrificially and without harm (Ephesians 5:25). You are right to recognize God’s protection in your life, and we thank Him for His faithfulness to you even in suffering.

Now, we must address the relationship you are currently in with honesty and biblical clarity. The Word of God is unchanging: sexual intimacy outside of marriage is sin, and it is called fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If you and this man have been physically involved, this is not God’s will, and it brings spiritual and emotional bondage rather than freedom. The anxiety and pain you feel are partly rooted in this disobedience, for sin always brings turmoil. We urge you to repent—turn away from this—and seek purity, for your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. A relationship built on God’s foundation cannot thrive in rebellion against His commands.

Additionally, this man’s heart is hardened against God, and his anger, bitterness, and instability are evidence of a soul in deep need of Christ. You cannot love him enough to heal his wounds—that is the work of the Holy Spirit alone. Scripture warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), for how can light live in harmony with darkness? A marriage built with an unbeliever is a marriage without Christ at its center, and that is a foundation of sand. You desire to give him love, but the greatest love you can offer is to point him to Jesus, not to bind yourself to his brokenness in marriage. Pray for his salvation, yes, but do not pursue a lifelong covenant with someone who rejects the Lord. Your longing for marriage is good—God designed it to reflect Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:31-32)—but it must be with a man who loves Jesus above all else.

Your anxiety over losing him reveals an idol in your heart: you are placing your hope in this man rather than in God. Jesus tells us, *“Don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘With what will we be clothed?’ ... your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well”* (Matthew 6:31-33). Your peace cannot come from this relationship; it must come from surrendering to Christ. He alone is your security.

As for your job search, we pray for God’s provision, but we also remind you that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). An 8-9 lakh package may be your desire, but His plan for you may look different—and it will always be better. Trust Him in this season of waiting. *“Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this”* (Psalm 37:4-5).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before Your throne of grace, asking for Your mercy and transformation in her life. Lord, we thank You for delivering her from abuse and for Your protection over her. We pray that she would find her identity and worth in You alone, not in the approval or love of any man. Father, convict her heart where there is sin, and lead her to repentance. If she has been physically intimate outside of marriage, break the chains of guilt and shame, and restore her purity in You. Give her the strength to walk in obedience, even if it means stepping away from this relationship.

Lord, we pray for this man—his heart is hardened, his past is filled with pain, and he rages against You. Softening his heart is a work only You can do. Draw him to Yourself, Lord. Let him see his need for a Savior. But Father, we also ask for wisdom for our sister: do not let her bind herself to a man who does not love You. Guard her heart from idolizing this relationship. If it is not Your will, give her the courage to let go and trust You.

For her job, Lord, we ask for Your provision. Open doors no man can shut, and give her favor in the eyes of employers. But more than that, align her desires with Yours. Let her seek Your Kingdom first, knowing You will provide all she needs.

Father, replace her anxiety with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Heal her heart from the wounds of her past marriage and the pain of this current relationship. Surround her with godly community who will speak truth and love into her life. Let her find her joy in You alone.

We rebuked the spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, and let her walk in victory.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Finally, sister, we urge you to seek the Lord with all your heart. Read His Word daily, pray without ceasing, and find a biblical church where you can grow in faith. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we plead with you to do so today. *“If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”* (Romans 10:9). There is no lasting hope outside of Him. Run to Jesus—He is the only One who can satisfy your soul.
