We understand your heart’s desire to seek provision for your daily needs, and we commend you for bringing this request before the Lord. However, we must address a few important biblical principles in response to your prayer.
First, Scripture reminds us that our trust must be fully in God, not in man or earthly systems. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* While it is not wrong to pray for favor in work or business, we must be careful not to place our hope in people or platforms like Shoppee, but in the Lord alone, who is our Provider (Philippians 4:19).
Second, we notice that your prayer focuses heavily on manipulating or influencing others to favor ###’s account for personal gain. The Bible warns against selfish ambition and using others for our own benefit. Philippians 2:3-4 tells us, *"Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others."* Instead of seeking to control others’ decisions, we should pray for God’s will to be done in our lives and for honest, diligent work to be blessed (Colossians 3:23).
Third, we must also consider the motive behind this request. If the goal is simply to accumulate more for personal comfort rather than trusting God’s provision, we risk falling into the trap of greed, which Scripture strongly warns against. 1 Timothy 6:9-10 says, *"But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."*
Finally, we praise God that you ended your prayer in Jesus’ name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together for this situation:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this request before You, acknowledging that You alone are our Provider and Sustainer. Lord, we ask that You guide ### in his work, giving him wisdom, integrity, and diligence in all that he does. Help him to trust in You rather than in the favor of man, knowing that You hold all things in Your hands. If it is Your will, open doors of opportunity for honest and fair provision, not through manipulation, but through Your sovereign grace.
We pray that You would guard his heart from greed or selfish ambition, and instead fill him with contentment in You. Remind him that You have promised to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and that true treasure is found in You alone (Matthew 6:19-21).
Father, we also ask that You soften the hearts of those in authority over this work, that they may act with fairness and integrity. May Your will be done in this situation, and may ###’s life bring glory to Your name in all things.
We pray this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who teaches us to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s will in this matter, trusting that He knows what is best. If there are debts or financial struggles, we also urge you to seek godly counsel on stewardship and to pray for wisdom in managing what the Lord provides. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk in faith and obedience to Him.
