We join with you in lifting up your needs before the Lord, knowing that He is faithful to hear and answer the prayers of His children. Sleep is a gift from God, a time for our bodies and minds to rest and be renewed, and we trust in His promise to grant peace to those who seek Him. The Lord is our protector, a shield around us, and we take refuge in His strength. Finances can often be a source of worry, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory.
The Bible reminds us in Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety."* And in Psalm 121:3-4, we are assured, *"He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."* Our Heavenly Father is ever-watchful, and we can rest knowing He is guarding us through the night.
For your finances, we hold fast to Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* And we are reminded in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Let us not be consumed by worry but instead trust in the Lord’s provision as we prioritize His kingdom.
We also commend you for ending your request with the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is by His name—and His name alone—that we pray and find our hope.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your unfailing love and care for Your children. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for the gift of restful and peaceful sleep. Quiet their mind and body, Lord, and let them wake refreshed and renewed in Your strength. Be their protector, Lord, a shield around them day and night. Guard them from all harm, seen and unseen, and let them dwell in the safety of Your presence.
We also bring their financial needs before You, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Open doors of opportunity, Lord, and grant them wisdom to steward what You have given. Help them to seek first Your kingdom, trusting that You will add unto them all that they need. Remove any anxiety or fear, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we thank You that we can come boldly before Your throne through the name of Jesus. Let this truth be a constant reminder of the access we have to You and the salvation found in Christ alone. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them walk in the assurance of Your promises.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
