Prayer request

We come before the Lord with you in this earnest request for marriage restoration, lifting this need to the One who is able to heal, restore, and redeem all things. Marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God, and He deeply cares about the unity and holiness of this bond. As it is written in **Malachi 2:16 (WEB)**, *"For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!"* and in **Matthew 19:6 (WEB)**, *"So they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart."*

We recognize that marriage restoration requires humility, repentance, and a willingness to submit to God’s will. If there has been sin—whether through unfaithfulness, harsh words, neglect, or any form of brokenness—we urge you to examine your heart before the Lord. **1 John 1:9 (WEB)** reminds us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* True restoration begins with a surrendered heart, seeking God’s forgiveness and extending grace to one another.

If there has been separation or division, we pray that both spouses would turn to Christ in full repentance, allowing Him to soften hearts and rebuild trust. **Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB)** commands us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Forgiveness is not optional for the believer—it is a command and a reflection of Christ’s love in us.

We also exhort you to guard your heart and mind during this season. Avoid ungodly counsel, worldly distractions, or anything that would hinder reconciliation. **Proverbs 4:23 (WEB)** warns, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* Seek wise, biblical counsel from mature believers who will point you to Christ and His Word.

If there has been any form of immorality—whether adultery, pornography, or emotional infidelity—it must be confessed, repented of, and forsaken. **1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB)** declares, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* True repentance means turning away from sin and pursuing holiness.

Now, let us pray together for this marriage:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage and asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, You are the God of restoration, the One who heals broken hearts and binds up wounds. We ask that You would soften hearts, remove bitterness, and replace strife with Your peace. If there has been sin, Lord, bring conviction and true repentance. Let Your Holy Spirit move powerfully in both spouses, drawing them back to You and to one another in a way that honors Your Word.*

*Father, we pray against the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against it shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Restore what has been broken, Lord, and let Your love be the foundation upon which this marriage is rebuilt. Give wisdom, patience, and perseverance as they seek You first.*

*We pray for a spirit of forgiveness to flood their hearts, just as You have forgiven us in Christ. Let them extend grace to one another, remembering that love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:7). Lord, if there has been separation, we ask that You would reunite this couple in a way that brings glory to Your name. Let their testimony be one of Your faithfulness and redemption.*

*Finally, Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel and support. Let them be rooted in Your Word and covered in prayer. May their marriage be a reflection of Christ’s love for His Church—selfless, sacrificial, and steadfast. We commit this request to You, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.*

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily, saturating this situation in prayer and Scripture. Stand firm in faith, believing that God is able to restore what seems impossible. **Jeremiah 32:27 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* Trust in His timing and His ways, even when the path seems unclear.

If there are specific areas of struggle—such as communication, trust, or spiritual alignment—let us know so we can pray more specifically. We are here to stand with you in this fight for your marriage, believing that God’s best is yet to come. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (**Hebrews 12:2**). He is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you (**Philippians 1:6**).
