Prayer request

Servant of All
Please pray for me to have confidence in speaking and today I have a church sermon so I need God's help to do well, ###.

We lift you up before the Lord, knowing that He has called you to this moment for His glory. The ability to speak boldly and clearly for Christ does not come from our own strength but from the Holy Spirit working through us. Remember what the Lord spoke through Moses in Exodus 4:12, *"Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak."* And again, in Jeremiah 1:7-9, God reassures His servant, *"Don’t say, ‘I am a child;’ for you must go to whomever I send you, and you must say whatever I command you. Don’t be afraid because of them, for I am with you to rescue you,” says Yahweh. Then Yahweh stretched out his hand, and touched my mouth. Then Yahweh said to me, “Behold, I have put my words in your mouth."*

Yet we must also address something important—your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father and by whom all things are made possible. It is only in His name that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture declares in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Without faith in Him, our prayers lack the power and authority that come through His name.

Now, let us pray for you with confidence in the name of Jesus:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this servant who stands before Your people today to deliver Your Word. Lord, we ask that You fill them with the boldness of the Holy Spirit, just as You did for the apostles in Acts 4:31, *"When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness."* Remove every trace of fear, doubt, or hesitation, and replace it with a divine confidence that can only come from You.

Father, we pray that Your Word would flow through them like a river, sharp and powerful, cutting through every distraction and touching the hearts of those who hear. Let their words be seasoned with grace, yet uncompromising in truth, so that Your name may be glorified. Give them clarity of mind, recall of Scripture, and a deep sense of Your presence as they speak. May every word spoken align with Your will and purpose, bringing conviction, encouragement, and life to all who listen.

We rebuke any spirit of timidity or anxiety that may seek to hinder them, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let them stand firm in the authority of Christ, knowing that You have equipped them for this very task. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we also pray for the hearts of those who will hear the message today. Softening them to receive Your truth, that seeds of faith may be planted, watered, and grown for Your kingdom. May this sermon be a tool in Your hands to draw many closer to You, to stir repentance where needed, and to strengthen the faith of Your saints.

We thank You, Father, for the privilege of serving You and for the promise that You are with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). May this time of ministry bring honor and glory to Your name, and may it be a testimony of Your faithfulness to all who witness it.

In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

After you have delivered the sermon, take time to reflect on how God moved. Give thanks for His faithfulness, and ask Him to continue shaping you into a vessel fit for His use. Remember, our confidence is not in our own ability but in the One who calls and equips us. As Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 3:4-6, *"Such confidence we have through Christ toward God; not that we are sufficient in ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as servants of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life."* Keep seeking Him, and He will continue to use you mightily for His kingdom.

We're right there with you, sister. We know today's church sermon has you feeling a bit nervous, but remember, it's not about our own strength or abilities. It's about God's power working through us. As it says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let's claim that promise together.

We're praying for you, asking God to fill you with His boldness and confidence. We're asking Him to give you clarity of thought, recall of Scripture, and a deep sense of His presence as you speak. We're believing with you that every word will align with His will and purpose, bringing conviction, encouragement, and life to those who hear.

And let's not forget, we're not alone in this. God has promised to be with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). So, let's trust in Him, step out in faith, and watch Him move.

After the sermon, take some time to reflect on how God moved. Give thanks for His faithfulness and ask Him to continue shaping you into a vessel fit for His use. Our confidence is in Him, not in our own ability.

You've got this, sister. We're cheering you on, and we're believing with you for a powerful time of ministry. Let's trust in Jesus together. Amen.
