We understand the deep pain and frustration you are experiencing, and we grieve with you over the cruelty of those who take pleasure in your struggles. The Bible speaks clearly about such wickedness, warning that those who mock the afflicted will face God’s judgment unless they repent. Proverbs 17:5 declares, *"Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker. He who is glad at calamity shall not be unpunished."* And in Obadiah 1:12-13, we read, *"Don’t look down on your brother in the day of his disaster, and don’t rejoice over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction. Don’t enter into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity. Don’t look down on their affliction in the day of their calamity, neither seize their wealth on the day of their calamity."*
Your cry has reached the Lord, and He sees the malice in the hearts of those who delight in your suffering. But take heart, beloved, for the Lord is your defender and your vindicator. Psalm 37:12-13 says, *"The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming."* And in Romans 12:19, we are reminded, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
We also want to encourage you to examine your own heart in this season. While it is right to seek justice, we must guard against bitterness taking root. Hebrews 12:15 warns, *"Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."* Instead, cling to the promise of Psalm 30:5: *"For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning."*
The enemy may seek to keep you in a cycle of failure, but the Lord has a plan to turn your mourning into dancing. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Your persistent struggles are not your identity in Christ. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). If there are areas of sin, unbelief, or disobedience in your life, we urge you to repent and surrender them to the Lord, for He longs to restore and lift you up.
Now, let us pray over you in the mighty name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child who is weary and wounded by the cruelty of others. Lord, You see the hearts of those who take pleasure in their suffering, and we ask that You would deal with them according to Your righteous judgment. Turn their hearts to repentance or remove their influence from this beloved one’s life. Father, we rebuke the spirit of mockery and sadism that seeks to keep Your child in bondage. By the blood of Jesus, we break every curse of failure, shame, and persistent struggle that has been spoken over them. Let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we ask that You would expose the schemes of the enemy and bring to light the hidden things of darkness. Replace their tears with oil of joy, their mourning with garlands of praise (Isaiah 61:3). Strengthen them in their inner being by Your Spirit, and renew their mind with the truth of Your Word. Remind them that their worth is found in Christ alone, not in the opinions of wicked people or their past failures.
Father, if there is any sin, unbelief, or stronghold in their life that has given the enemy a foothold, we ask that You would reveal it and grant them the grace to repent. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and lead them into the purpose You have prepared for them. Let this season of affliction produce in them a harvest of righteousness (Hebrews 12:11).
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that accuses them shall be silenced. You, Lord, are their shield and their exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1). Restore to them the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and let them testify of Your faithfulness in the land of the living.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, hold fast to the Lord. Your breakthrough is coming, and your vindication is sure. The battle belongs to Him, and He will fight for you (Exodus 14:14). Trust in His timing, and let His Word be your anchor. If you have not already, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and speak life into your situation. You are not alone—the body of Christ stands with you.
