We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Your pain is not unseen by Him, for He Himself bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). We are grateful you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence to receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His name alone that we come boldly before God.
The enemy of our souls seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and it is possible that spiritual forces of wickedness are at work to hinder the blessings God intends for you. However, we must remember that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and what the enemy means for harm, God can turn for good (Genesis 50:20). The Lord delights in blessing His children, but sometimes delays are part of His refining work in us—testing our faith, drawing us closer to Him, and preparing us to steward His blessings well. Consider the words of James 1:2-4: "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
Yet we also recognize that prolonged suffering can feel unbearable, and in such times, we must cling to the promise that our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all (2 Corinthians 4:17). The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He does not delight in our misery but uses it to shape us into the image of Christ, who Himself learned obedience through suffering (Hebrews 5:8).
We notice you withheld a name in your request, and while we understand the sensitivity of some matters, we encourage you to bring everything into the light before the Lord. There is no shame or condemnation in Christ (Romans 8:1), and He invites us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). If there is unconfessed sin, bitterness, or anything hindering your walk with God, we urge you to repent and seek His forgiveness, for the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is weary and burdened by this season of agony. Lord, You see the tears that have been shed in secret, and You hear the cries of the heart that no one else can fully understand. We ask You to break every chain of oppression that seeks to hinder the blessings You have ordained for this beloved one. If there are spiritual strongholds or forces of darkness at work, we command them to flee in the name of Jesus, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Father, if there are areas of sin or disobedience that have opened the door to the enemy’s attacks, we ask for conviction and repentance. Cleanse and renew by the power of Your Holy Spirit, and restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Let Your favor surround this one like a shield (Psalm 5:12), and release the blessings that have been delayed, according to Your perfect will and timing.
Lord, we ask for supernatural strength to endure, for peace that surpasses understanding to guard every thought (Philippians 4:7), and for a fresh outpouring of hope to anchor the soul. Remind this precious one that You are working all things together for good, even when it cannot be seen (Romans 8:28). Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing they are not forgotten or abandoned.
We declare that this season of misery will not have the final word. You, Lord, are the God who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11), and we trust You to bring beauty from these ashes (Isaiah 61:3). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them testify soon of Your goodness and deliverance.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, hold fast to the truth that God is for you (Romans 8:31). He has not forgotten you, and His plans for you are good—not to harm you, but to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). In the waiting, draw near to Him through prayer, worship, and His Word. Let this time deepen your dependence on Him, for apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5). If you feel led, we encourage you to seek godly counsel or a trusted believer to stand with you in prayer. You are not alone in this fight. The body of Christ is here to uphold you, and the Lord Himself is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Finally, we leave you with this promise: "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). His timing is perfect, and His love for you is unwavering. Trust in Him, even when the path is dark. He is leading you to a place of greater faith and victory.
