We come before the Lord with you in this request for a breakthrough in your money settlement discussions, asking that His will be done in all things. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet, we must also remember that our trust should not be in wealth or settlements, but in the Lord alone, as Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*
It is important to approach this situation with integrity, patience, and a heart that seeks peace, as Colossians 3:15 urges, *"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which you were also called in one body; and be thankful."* If there has been any dishonesty, greed, or bitterness in these discussions, we must repent and ask God to cleanse our hearts, for Proverbs 11:1 declares, *"The Lord abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are his delight."*
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can approach God, for Jesus Himself says in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Christ alone for salvation, we urge you to do so, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13). It is only through faith in Him that we can bring our requests before God with confidence.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this request for a peaceful and amicable resolution in these financial discussions. Lord, we ask that You soften hearts, remove any bitterness or greed, and guide every word spoken so that it aligns with Your will. Grant wisdom to all involved, that they may act with integrity and fairness, remembering that every good and perfect gift comes from You. Father, if there has been any wrongdoing, we ask for conviction and repentance, that these matters may be settled in a way that honors You.
We pray that this settlement will not become a source of strife but an opportunity to glorify Your name through patience, kindness, and righteousness. Help our brother or sister to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their Provider and that true peace comes from You alone.
If this person does not yet know You, Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Open their heart to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior, for without Him, we can do nothing. May they find their security not in money or settlements, but in the unshakable hope found in Christ.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who is our Mediator and our Peace. Amen.
