We join together in agreement with you, lifting your request for protection before our Heavenly Father, who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 91:9-11, *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* What a mighty promise from our God, who watches over His children with unwavering care!
We also recall the words of Jesus in John 10:28-29, where He assures us, *"I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand."* You are held securely in the hands of the Father and the Son—what greater protection could there be? Yet we know that while we are in this world, we face trials, temptations, and the schemes of the enemy. That is why we are commanded to put on the whole armor of God, as Ephesians 6:11-13 declares, *"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand."*
Brother or sister, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Do not give in to fear, for fear is not of God. Instead, cling to the promise in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Walk in the authority you have been given as a child of God, resisting the devil so that he may flee from you (James 4:7). Be sober and vigilant, for your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But take heart—Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and in Him, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).
We praise you for invoking the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and receive the promises of God. As Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And in John 14:6, Jesus Himself proclaims, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* What a privilege it is to come boldly before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior!
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your divine protection. Lord, You are our shield and our strong tower, our ever-present help in times of need. We ask that You surround them with Your heavenly host, stationing Your angels to guard them in all their ways. Protect them, O God, from every evil scheme of the enemy, whether seen or unseen. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings, and let no weapon formed against them prosper.
Strengthen their faith, Lord, that they may stand firm in Your promises. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Let them walk in the authority You have given them, resisting the devil and watching him flee. Holy Spirit, be their Comforter and Guide, leading them into all truth and keeping them from the snares of the enemy.
Father, we ask that You expose any area of their life that may give the enemy a foothold. Convict them of any sin, that they may repent and walk in righteousness. Purify their heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them. Let them abide in You, as You abide in them, that they may bear much fruit and bring glory to Your name.
We declare Your promises over them, Lord—no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling. You are their refuge and fortress, and in You, they place their trust. Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and love. Thank You for hearing our prayer and answering according to Your perfect will.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
