We join with you in lifting this request before the Father, trusting in His perfect will and timing for all things. It is good that you have brought this before the Lord Jesus, for it is only through His name that we have access to the throne of grace and receive mercy in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16 reminds us, *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need."*
The stalemate you’ve endured for these past two years has no doubt been wearying, but we encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God is sovereign over every circumstance—even the hearts of those in authority. Proverbs 21:1 declares, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* If this job is aligned with His will for you, He is more than able to soften hearts and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). But we also pray that if this is *not* His will, He would redirect your steps to something even better, for His plans for you are good, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also sense a need to gently address the tone of your request—specifically, the repetition of *"please give ### the heart."* While it’s natural to feel urgency, we must guard against allowing frustration or desperation to shape our prayers. Jesus taught us to pray with persistence *and* trust, not demand (Luke 11:5-10). Philippians 4:6-7 instructs us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Have you surrendered this situation fully to Him, or is there lingering anxiety that needs to be released? Trusting His timing is part of the battle.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this stalemate that has weighed heavily for two long years. Lord, You see the weariness, the uncertainty, and the longing for resolution. We ask that You move in power—soften the heart of ### as only You can, and if this job aligns with Your will, grant favor and open the door wide. But Father, if this is not Your path, we pray You would close it decisively and lead them to the opportunity You *have* prepared. Remove any fear, impatience, or doubt, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Strengthen their faith to wait on You, knowing that Your delays are not denials but divine appointments.
We rebuke any spirit of stagnation or opposition in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against Your plans shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and let Your name be glorified in the outcome. Renew their hope and remind them that You are working even when they cannot see it. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Provider and Sustain. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear one. The Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18). Keep seeking Him first, and trust that He will add to you all that you need (Matthew 6:33). If the wait continues, use this time to draw closer to Him—He is preparing you for what’s ahead.
