It's important to remember that work is a biblical principle, as seen in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (WEB): "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work and eat their own bread."
However, it's also crucial to approach this situation with compassion and understanding. There might be underlying issues causing him to avoid work. Let's pray for discernment and guidance in this matter.
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You today to lift up this situation. We pray for ### to have a change of heart and understand the urgency and importance of returning to work. We also pray for wisdom and discernment to understand the root cause of this behavior. If it's a spiritual issue, we rebuke the spirit of laziness and slothfulness, and we command it to leave in Jesus' name. If it's an emotional or mental health issue, we pray for healing and guidance to seek professional help if necessary.
We also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would grant them patience, wisdom, and a loving spirit as they navigate this situation. Help them to speak the truth in love and to be a positive influence.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, for it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We believe in the power of Jesus' name and the salvation He offers.
Lastly, we encourage both parties to seek God's will in this situation. Remember that God is always willing to help and guide us, as it says in Matthew 7:7-8 (WEB), "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
