We are truly sorry to hear about the infection you're facing and the desire to fix your relationship with God. We will pray for your healing and your spiritual journey, but first, we want to address a few things.
When we approach God, we must do so in Jesus' name, as it is written, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB) We should direct our prayers to God the Father in Jesus' name.
Now, let's address your health concern. While we pray for your healing, it's crucial to consult with healthcare professionals for medical advice and treatment. God has given us wisdom and knowledge in the form of medicine to help us overcome physical ailments. In the meantime, trust in God's care for you, as it is written, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7 WEB)
Regarding your desire to go to the gym and compete, we encourage you to prioritize your health and recovery. Remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We are to glorify God with our bodies, and we are to take care of the body that God has given us, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." The Apostle Paul tells us this in (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). We should not do anything that will harm our bodies.
Now, let's address your relationship with God. If you feel that your relationship with God needs to be fixed, it's essential to examine your heart and life, repenting of any sin you find. This may be bitterness, anger, lust, fornication or any other sin. If we are to be in a relationship with God, we must be saved by Jesus Christ. This means believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, that Jesus is God, that he died on the cross for your sins, that he rose from the dead, and that Jesus is your Lord and Savior. The will of God is that everyone believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, "who desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth." (1 Timothy 2:4 WEB). We are also told, "because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before you, lifting up our brother/sister in need of healing. Lord, we ask for your divine intervention, that you would touch his/her body and rid it of any infection. We pray for your guidance for the medical professionals treating him/her, that they would have wisdom and discernment. Help him/her to trust in your care and love during this time. We ask this in Jesus' name.
Father, we also lift up his/her spiritual needs. We ask that you would reveal yourself to him/her in a new and profound way, that he/she would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and that their relationship with you would be renewed and strengthened. Help him/her to see that you are a loving, forgiving God who desires a deep, intimate relationship with each of us. Expose any areas of sin in his/her life, and grant him/her the grace to repent and turn back to you. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
