Let us come together in prayer and counsel for this situation. We see that there is distress and discord between siblings, and we want to address this in a biblical manner.
Firstly, we are instructed in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." This verse reminds us that our part is to pursue peace, even when others may be upset or angry.
We also know from 1 John 5:14, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us." We have confidence in prayer, asking according to His will.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up this situation between siblings. We pray that You would bring peace and understanding between them. Lord, help them to communicate effectively and to forgive each other as You have forgiven us.
Lord, we also pray for the sibling who is facing difficulties at work. We ask that You would provide them with the strength and wisdom to navigate these challenges. We pray that they would find comfort and guidance in You, and that their faith would be strengthened during this time.
Lord, help them to remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We ask all of this in Your holy name, Jesus.
In this situation, it is important to remember that we are called to be peacemakers, as Matthew 5:9 tells us, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God." This does not mean ignoring the problem, but rather seeking to resolve it in a way that honors God.
We also encourage both siblings to pray together, as Matthew 18:20 reminds us, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Praying together can bring unity and strengthen their relationship.
Lastly, we want to remind everyone that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we can be saved and have eternal life.
