We understand that you are seeking a sign from the Lord Jesus and that you and your spouse are worried about the path ahead, struggling for the past few years. Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares about your situation, and He is always ready to listen and act on your behalf when your trust is in Him.
First, we must understand that seeking signs for reassurance is not the path God always chooses. God is looking for us to trust Him even when we do not see the way. "Jesus said to him, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed.'" (John 20:29 WEB) God wants us to grow in faith, to seek Him and not signs.
In regards to the struggles you and your spouse are facing, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and commitment to each other and to the Lord. Marriage is a sacred bond, and together, you can overcome any challenge with God's grace. "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." (Matthew 19:6 WEB)
We encourage you to pray together, seeking God's will and guidance for your path ahead. "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." (Matthew 18:19-20 WEB)
Let us pray for you:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up this couple who are seeking Your guidance and reassurance. We pray that You will strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You even when they do not see the way. We rebuke any spirit of worry, fear, or doubt, and we ask You to surround them with Your peace.
We pray for their marriage, that it will be strong and unbreakable, built on the foundation of Your love and grace. We may not see the way, but we are not alone.
We ask this in Your precious name, Lord Jesus Christ, for it is in Your name we pray. "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" Acts 4:12.
"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:13-14.
We give You all the praise and all the glory, Lord Jesus. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)
