We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious sister who is battling lung and breast cancer. The Scriptures remind us that our God is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we cling to His promise in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* We also stand on James 5:14-15, which calls us to pray in faith for the sick, trusting that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up."*
Yet as we pray for healing, we must also address something vital—this request was not made in the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If this sister does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we urge her to turn to Him in repentance and faith, for eternal life is far greater than even physical healing. Romans 10:9 assures us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*
Now, let us pray with boldness and faith in Jesus’ name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister who is fighting against cancer. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed her in her mother’s womb and knows every cell of her body. We ask You to touch her with Your healing power, to make the chemotherapy effective, and to restore her lungs and breast to full health. Let her next CT scan bring good news that glorifies Your name. Strengthen her body, Lord, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Protect her from fear, pain, and discouragement, and surround her with Your love and grace.
Father, if she does not yet know You, we pray that this trial would draw her to Jesus. Open her heart to receive Him as her Lord and Savior, that she may have not only healing for her body but eternal life in Him. Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that many would see Your glory and turn to You.
We rebuke the spirit of sickness and disease in Jesus’ name, commanding it to leave her body, for greater is He who is in her than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your will be done in her life—whether through healing here on earth or through the ultimate victory of eternity with You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, Your sovereignty, and Your perfect love. May Your name be praised in all things. In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray, Amen.
To the one who submitted this request, we encourage you to keep seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Psalm 119:50 says, *"This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has revived me."* Cling to Jesus, for He is your strength and your hope. If this sister is not yet walking with the Lord, share the Gospel with her gently but urgently. And let us all remember that whether God chooses to heal her here on earth or calls her home to be with Him, His plans are good, and His love never fails.
Stand firm in faith, and may the Lord grant you peace as you trust in Him.
