We join with you in lifting this important season of preparation and examination to our Heavenly Father, who alone holds wisdom, understanding, and the power to grant success. Your heartfelt plea reveals a deep trust in God’s provision, and we commend you for turning to Him in prayer rather than relying solely on your own strength. The Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is your promise—He will guide you as you acknowledge Him in this journey.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 21:22, *"All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."* Yet, we must always align our prayers with God’s will, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33). While we earnestly ask for success in this exam, we also pray that God’s will be done in your lives, whether that means passing this test or being redirected to another path He has prepared for you. His plans are always good, even when they differ from our own.
We notice that your prayer did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through Jesus alone that our prayers are heard. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in John 16:23-24, Jesus tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* Let us always approach the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and advocate.
Additionally, we gently remind you that while prayer is powerful, it must be accompanied by diligent preparation. The Apostle Paul instructs us in 2 Timothy 2:15, *"Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth."* In the same way, you must study faithfully, trusting that God will honor your efforts as you commit them to Him. Anxiety often comes when we feel unprepared, but God calls us to cast our cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7) while also doing our part with excellence.
We also encourage you to guard your minds and hearts against fear, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). When anxiety arises, meditate on Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brothers and sisters who are preparing for their Nursing Board exam. Lord, You are the source of all wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, and we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, sharpening their minds to retain and recall all that they have studied. Remove every trace of anxiety and fear, replacing it with Your perfect peace that transcends all understanding. Help them to focus clearly during their preparation and on the day of the exam, that they may answer each question with confidence and accuracy.
Father, we ask that You would guide their hands and minds as they take this test. Let them be a testament to Your faithfulness, showing that their trust is not in their own abilities but in You alone. If it is Your will, grant them success in this exam, that they may use their knowledge and skills to glorify You and serve others with excellence. But above all, let Your will be done in their lives, knowing that Your plans are perfect and Your timing is flawless.
We rebuke any spirit of distraction, confusion, or doubt that may try to hinder them. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that their minds will be clear, their hearts will be steady, and their faith will be unshaken. Lord, let them walk into that exam room with the assurance that You are with them, that You go before them, and that You have already prepared the way.
We also pray for their future, Father. If it is Your will for them to become registered nurses, we ask that You would open every door that no man can shut. Use them mightily in their profession to bring healing, comfort, and hope to those in need. May they be lights in dark places, reflecting Your love and compassion to every patient they encounter.
Finally, Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let this season be a testimony of Your goodness and provision. We ask all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear brothers and sisters. Continue to seek God’s face, study diligently, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Whether in success or in waiting, His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). We are praying with you and believing for God’s best in your lives.
