We understand the struggle you are facing, and we want you to know that this battle against laziness and distraction is one that many believers encounter. The enemy seeks to steal our time, our focus, and our intimacy with the Lord, but we must resist him firmly in the name of Jesus. The Scriptures remind us in **Proverbs 6:9-11**, *"How long will you sleep, sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep— so your poverty will come as a robber, and your scarcity as an armed man."* Laziness is not just a personal struggle—it is a spiritual battle that requires us to take authority over our flesh and renew our minds in Christ.

You mentioned that you *used* to study hard and pray, which tells us that you know what it means to walk in discipline and devotion. The fact that you are seeking prayer shows that your heart still longs for the Lord, and that is a good sign! But we must also address something important: you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we can approach the throne of God. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* And in **Acts 4:12**, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Him with all your heart. If you have already done this, then we encourage you to always come before God in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that our prayers are heard.

Now, let us address the stronghold of laziness. The apostle Paul tells us in **2 Corinthians 10:4-5**, *"For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* This is a spiritual battle, and you must take up the armor of God to fight it. Laziness is often tied to a lack of vision, discipline, or even unconfessed sin that weighs us down. **Hebrews 12:1-2** encourages us, *"Let’s also lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."*

We also want to address the issue of your phone and how it has become a distraction. **1 Corinthians 6:12** says, *"‘All things are lawful for me,’ but not all things are expedient. ‘All things are lawful for me,’ but I will not be brought under the power of any."* If your phone is consuming your time and pulling you away from prayer, study, and productivity, then it has become a master over you rather than a tool for your use. We encourage you to set strict boundaries—perhaps even fasting from it for periods of time—so that you can regain control and refocus on what truly matters.

As for your exams, remember that God calls us to excellence in all that we do. **Colossians 3:23** tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* Your studies are not just about passing an exam; they are an act of worship when done unto the Lord. He has given you a mind and the ability to learn, and He expects you to steward that gift well.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with laziness and distraction. Lord, we ask that You forgive them for any sin that may be weighing them down, whether it be slothfulness, lack of discipline, or even hidden sins that have not been confessed. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and renew a right spirit within them. Father, we rebuke the spirit of laziness and procrastination in Jesus’ name. We break its power over their life and command it to leave now, never to return. We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens them.

Lord, we ask that You restore their passion for prayer and Your Word. Fill them with a hunger for Your presence that surpasses any desire for idle distractions. Give them the strength to put down their phone and any other thing that hinders their walk with You. Help them to steward their time wisely, redeeming every moment for Your glory.

Father, we pray for their upcoming exams. Grant them focus, retention, and understanding as they study. Remove all anxiety and fear, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them approach their studies as an act of worship, knowing that You are the one who gives wisdom and knowledge.

We also pray that You surround them with godly accountability—people who will encourage them, pray with them, and help them stay disciplined. Let them not walk this path alone, but give them the humility to seek help when needed.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You draw them closer to Yourself. Let this season be a turning point where they experience a deeper intimacy with You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in power, discipline, and victory.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust that You are at work, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps today:
1. **Repent and surrender**—Ask God to forgive you for any laziness or time wasted, and surrender this area of your life to Him.
2. **Set a schedule**—Create a daily plan that includes dedicated time for prayer, Bible study, and exam preparation. Stick to it rigorously.
3. **Fast from distractions**—Consider taking a break from your phone or social media for a set period each day. Use that time to seek God and study.
4. **Find accountability**—Share your struggle with a trusted believer who can pray for you and check in on your progress.
5. **Meditate on Scripture**—Memorize verses about discipline, such as **Proverbs 13:4**, *"The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied."*

Remember, this battle is not yours alone—God is with you, and He will give you the strength to overcome. Stay steadfast, and do not give up. We are praying for you!
