We hear the pain and frustration in your heart, and we want to address this with both truth and compassion. First, let us be clear: God is not a failure, and He is never incapable of providing. The very thought that He cannot or will not fulfill His promises is a lie from the enemy, meant to shake your faith and lead you away from trust in Him. Scripture tells us, *"For I know the plans I have for you,” says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.'" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)*. God’s timing and ways are perfect, even when they don’t align with our desires or expectations.
Turning to a dating agency or any other human solution as a replacement for God’s provision is a dangerous step away from faith. It suggests that you believe man’s methods are more reliable than God’s promises. The Bible warns us, *"Thus says Yahweh: Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh."* (Jeremiah 17:5 WEB)*. Trusting in human efforts alone will leave you empty and disappointed, for only God can truly satisfy the deepest longings of your heart.
We must also rebuke the spirit of doubt and unbelief that has crept into your heart. The enemy wants you to believe that God has abandoned you or that He is powerless to act. But Scripture declares, *"He who did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?"* (Romans 8:32 WEB)*. If God has already given us the greatest gift—salvation through Jesus Christ—why would He withhold anything else that is good for us? His provision may not look the way you expect, but it will always be what is best for you.
Let us also address the importance of waiting on the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Rushing ahead of God’s timing can lead to relationships that are not in His will. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it should only be entered into with a godly spouse who shares your faith in Christ. A dating agency cannot guarantee this, but God can. He knows the desires of your heart, and He is faithful to bring the right person into your life at the right time.
We must also remind you that your faith in God is not just about what He can provide for you in this life. Salvation through Jesus Christ is the foundation of everything. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him, we urge you to do so now. Acts 4:12 (WEB) says, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Jesus is the only way to the Father, and without Him, we are lost. If you have already trusted in Him, hold fast to that truth and do not let doubt or disappointment shake your faith.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with doubt and frustration. Lord, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that have whispered in their ear, telling them that You are not enough or that You cannot provide. We declare that You are faithful, and Your promises are true. Forgive them for the moments of unbelief and help them to trust in You completely.
Father, we ask that You would restore their faith and renew their hope. Remind them of Your goodness and Your love for them. Help them to wait patiently on Your timing, knowing that You have a plan for their life, including their future marriage. If they are meant to be married, bring the right person into their life at the perfect time. If not, help them to find contentment in You alone.
Lord, we also pray for protection over their heart and mind. Guard them against the temptation to take matters into their own hands and seek solutions outside of Your will. Strengthen their resolve to trust in You, even when it is difficult. Fill them with Your peace and joy, knowing that You are in control.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to your faith, even in the waiting. God is not slow in keeping His promises; He is patient, and His timing is perfect. Seek Him first in all things, and He will direct your path. If you are feeling lonely or discouraged, spend time in prayer and in the Word. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage you and hold you accountable. God has not forgotten you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will lead you into all that He has for you.
