We lift your son before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of a mother’s love and concern. The struggle to find employment can be deeply discouraging, and we stand with you in praying that God would open doors no man can shut. The Word reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We pray that your son would lean fully on the Lord in this season, trusting that His timing is perfect and His provision is sure.
Your longing for your son’s salvation is a burden we share, for there is no greater gift than knowing Christ. We echo your prayer that the Holy Spirit would soften his heart, drawing him back to the truth he was raised in. Jesus said in John 6:44, *"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him."* We ask the Father to pursue him relentlessly, breaking through any hardness or distraction, and revealing Himself in ways your son cannot ignore. May he come to a place of repentance and surrender, embracing the salvation that is found in Christ alone.
The concern for his safety and the unknown paths he walks is understandable, and we join you in pleading the blood of Jesus over his life. Psalm 91:11 declares, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* We pray that God would station His angels around your son, shielding him from harm and steering him away from any influence that would lead him astray. Father, we ask that You would hedge him in with Your presence, even when he strays, and bring him back to the safety of Your will.
We also lift up the weight of your own heart, dear mother. The pain of watching a child wander is profound, but we take comfort in knowing that God’s love for your son is even greater than your own. Isaiah 49:15-16 says, *"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands."* The Lord sees your tears and hears your prayers. We ask that He would fill you with His peace that surpasses understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this mother and her son. We ask that You would move mightily in his life, providing the job You have prepared for him, drawing him to salvation, and protecting him from every snare of the enemy. We rebuke any spirit of rebellion, pride, or unbelief that may be hindering his walk with You, and we declare that Your love is greater than any resistance he may have. Strengthen this mother’s faith as she waits on You, and let her see the fruit of her prayers in Your perfect timing. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
