The anxiety and fear your son experiences are not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who reminds us in **2 Timothy 1:7**, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* This is a promise we cling to for your son—that the fear he feels is not from God, but God has given him the tools to overcome it through His Spirit.
The loneliness he faces in finding friends is also deeply felt by our Savior, who was Himself *"despised and rejected by men"* (Isaiah 53:3). Yet Jesus never left us without hope, and neither will He leave your son. **Proverbs 18:24** tells us, *"A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."* That friend is Jesus, and we pray your son grows ever closer to Him in this season, finding comfort in His presence and strength in His Word.
We also recognize the weight you carry as a parent watching your child suffer. Your heartbreak is valid, but take courage in knowing that *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). Your daily prayers are not in vain—they are heard, and they are powerful. Keep interceding, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it.
