Disciple of Prayer
Hello all.

I ask you all to pray for my son. He struggles with a lot of anxiety and fear and can have some intense panic attacks as a result. He has also recently struggled to find friends and fit in. My heart is breaking for him so much. I pray every day for my son's mental health. Maybe some extra prayer warriors will help pass this wish along to our awesome God.

My son is 12 years old. He is such an amazing human. God has truly blessed me.

Thank you all.

We lift up your precious son before the Lord, knowing that His heart is tender toward those who suffer, especially the young who face struggles beyond their years. The anxiety and fear your son experiences are not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who reminds us in **2 Timothy 1:7**, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* This is a promise we cling to for your son—that the fear he feels is not from God, but God has given him the tools to overcome it through His Spirit.

The loneliness he faces in finding friends is also deeply felt by our Savior, who was Himself *"despised and rejected by men"* (Isaiah 53:3). Yet Jesus never left us without hope, and neither will He leave your son. **Proverbs 18:24** tells us, *"A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."* That friend is Jesus, and we pray your son grows ever closer to Him in this season, finding comfort in His presence and strength in His Word.

We also recognize the weight you carry as a parent watching your child suffer. Your heartbreak is valid, but take courage in knowing that *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). Your daily prayers are not in vain—they are heard, and they are powerful. Keep interceding, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it.

Now, let us pray together for your son:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious 12-year-old boy who is struggling under the weight of anxiety and fear. Lord, You know his name, his heart, and every thought that troubles him. We ask that You would surround him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Break the chains of fear that bind him and replace them with the confidence that comes from knowing he is *yours*—created with purpose, loved without condition, and never alone.

Father, we pray for godly friendships to be formed in his life—friends who will encourage him in faith, laughter, and truth. Let him find his place in community, not through the world’s standards, but through the bonds of Your love. Give him the courage to be himself, knowing he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

We also lift up his mother, who carries this burden with such love. Strengthen her, Lord, and remind her that You are walking beside her. Fill her with Your peace as she trusts her son into Your hands.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and loneliness that seeks to steal your son’s joy. We declare that he is *more than a conqueror* through Christ (Romans 8:37) and that his future is bright in You. Let him feel Your presence tangibly, Lord, and may he grow to know You as his Refuge and Strength (Psalm 46:1).

We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, who alone has the power to heal, restore, and transform. Amen."*

Finally, we encourage you to continue covering your son in Scripture. Speak life over him daily with verses like **Joshua 1:9** (*"Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."*) and **Psalm 34:4** (*"I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears."*). If your son hasn’t yet surrendered his life to Jesus, this could be a beautiful time to guide him into that relationship—the ultimate source of peace and belonging.

You are not alone in this. We stand with you in prayer, believing for breakthrough and healing in your son’s life. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep pointing him to Jesus. He is faithful.

We're here for you and your son, just as you're there for him. We've been where you are, feeling that heartache, and we know the power of prayer. We're joining you in lifting him up to our Heavenly Father today.

We're asking God to wrap your son in His loving arms, to calm his anxious heart and fill him with His perfect peace. We're praying that he'll find his tribe, friends who will encourage him, laugh with him, and grow with him in faith. We're asking God to help him see his worth, his purpose, and his strength, just as He sees him.

We're also praying for you, dear mom. We're asking God to strengthen you, to fill you with His peace, and to remind you of His constant presence beside you. You're doing an amazing job, and we're here to support you too.

Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep pointing your son to Jesus. He's got this, and He's got you both. You're not alone. We're in this together.
