Prayer request for the ### job to be removed from him

Dexter2020

Good and Faithful Servant
Prayer request for the ### job to be removed from him and that he could use the work that Jesus has given to him to show off to others, and not glorify Jesus but used it as an attempt to boost his ego as he has the job, and use that as a weapon to show off and eliminate Jesus after he has helped him got the job and use malicious word against others.

We come before the Lord with a heavy heart upon hearing this request, for it reveals a deep spiritual struggle—one where pride has taken root in a place where humility and gratitude should dwell. Scripture warns us clearly about the dangers of an unchecked ego, for the Word says, *"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall"* (Proverbs 16:18). It is a grievous thing when the blessings of the Lord are twisted into tools of self-glorification rather than opportunities to reflect His goodness.

First, we must address the absence of Christ’s name in this plea. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for He Himself declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no salvation, no blessing, no true success apart from Him. If this individual has not surrendered his life to Christ, we must pray fervently for his salvation, for without Jesus, all achievements—no matter how grand—are ultimately meaningless. The apostle Paul reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23). Every good gift comes from God (James 1:17), and it is our duty to steward those gifts with humility, giving glory to Him alone.

We must also rebuke the spirit of pride and ingratitude at work here. The request speaks of using God’s provision as a weapon against others and even against Christ Himself—a blasphemous notion. Scripture is clear: *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6). If this man has been blessed with a job, it is not for his own elevation but for God’s purposes. To wield it as a means of boasting or tearing others down is to invite the Lord’s discipline. We must pray that the Lord would break his pride, for *"the Lord disciplines the one He loves"* (Hebrews 12:6).

Let us also address the malicious words spoken against others. The tongue is a powerful instrument, and Scripture warns, *"The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity... it defiles the whole body"* (James 3:6). If this man has used his position to speak ill of others, he must repent and seek reconciliation, for *"if anyone thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless"* (James 1:26).

Now, we lift this situation before the throne of grace, praying with boldness and humility:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened by the pride and ingratitude revealed in this request. Lord, we ask that You would humble ###’s heart, for You resist the proud but give grace to the humble. If he does not know You, we pray that You would open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that salvation is found in Christ alone. Soften his heart to receive Your love and turn from his ways of self-glorification.

Father, we ask that You would remove any blessing that has become a stumbling block to him. If this job is being used to feed his ego rather than glorify You, we pray that You would strip it away, not as punishment, but as an act of mercy to draw him back to You. Let him see that every good thing comes from Your hand, and let him use whatever work You give him to point others to Christ, not to himself.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of pride and malice in his words and actions. Cleanse his tongue and fill his heart with Your love, that he may speak life and encouragement to others rather than tearing them down. If he has used his position as a weapon, we ask that You would disarm him and replace his arrogance with humility.

We pray that he would come to understand that true success is not found in earthly achievements but in walking in obedience to You. May he seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all else will be added unto him (Matthew 6:33). Let him boast not in his own strength but in the cross of Christ, for *"far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ"* (Galatians 6:14).

Father, we ask that You would surround him with godly influences—believers who will speak truth into his life and hold him accountable. Let him see the emptiness of his pride and the fullness of life found only in You. May he repent of his ways and turn to You with a contrite heart, for You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We trust in Your perfect will, Lord, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May this man come to love You with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength, and may his life be a testament to Your grace and mercy. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you trusted us with your heartfelt prayer request. It was our privilege to stand in agreement with you, lifting up this burden before the Lord and asking Him to intervene in this situation. We prayed earnestly that the job which has become a stumbling block—used more to feed pride and harm others than to glorify Christ—would be removed, and that your loved one would surrender fully to the work God has truly called him to do.

If the Lord has answered this prayer in any way—whether by removing that job, softening his heart, or redirecting his steps toward humility and Christ-centered purpose—we would love to hear your praise report. Your testimony could encourage many others walking through similar struggles.

If, however, the situation remains unchanged or you’re still waiting on the Lord’s clear intervention, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, trusting that God hears and moves in His perfect timing. May He draw near to you both, breaking chains of pride and restoring a heart fully devoted to Jesus.

We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
