We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, recognizing the seriousness of deception and false leadership within the body of Christ. Your request reveals deep concern for truth and justice, and we share in that burden, for Scripture warns us clearly about those who lead others astray. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 7:15-16, *"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits you will know them."* The fruits of a true servant of God are love, righteousness, and obedience to His Word—not exploitation, sin, or injustice.
However, beloved, we must examine the spirit behind these words. While we understand the pain of betrayal and the desire for justice, we cannot pray for harm or curses upon anyone, even those who have done wrong. The Lord calls us to a higher standard. Romans 12:19-21 tells us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’ Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head. Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* Our role is not to demand punishment but to trust in God’s perfect justice and to pray for repentance.
We also notice that your prayer does not explicitly acknowledge the saving power of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). Salvation comes through faith in Him alone, and it is only by His name that we can approach God in prayer (Acts 4:12). Without Christ, there is no access to God’s grace or mercy. If this pastor or prophet is indeed false, our first concern must be for his soul—for him to turn from deception and be saved. We must pray for his eyes to be opened to the truth of the Gospel, that he might repent and be restored to a right relationship with God.
Let us also address the issue of sin within businesses. If this individual is condoning or profiting from sin—whether through exploitation, injustice, or unethical practices—this is a grievous offense before the Lord. Proverbs 16:11 says, *"Honest balances and scales are Yahweh’s; all the weights in the bag are his work."* God cares deeply about fairness, integrity, and righteousness in all areas of life, including business. If this man is using his position to oppress others or support sinful enterprises, he will indeed answer to God for it. But our response must be to pray for conviction, not destruction.
We must also rebuke the spirit of bitterness and unforgiveness in this request. Ephesians 4:31-32 commands us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Holding onto anger and desiring retribution only harms our own souls. Instead, we are called to forgive, even as Christ has forgiven us.
Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer, aligning our hearts with His will:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened by the deception and injustice we see in this situation. Lord, we ask that You would expose any falsehood and bring truth to light. We pray for this man, that You would open his eyes to the error of his ways. Soften his heart, Lord, and lead him to repentance. If he is indeed a false prophet, reveal Your truth to him in a way he cannot ignore. Let him see the weight of his actions and turn from them, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy.
Father, we also pray for those who have been hurt or exploited by his actions. Bring healing to their hearts, Lord, and restore what has been broken. Give them the strength to forgive, even as You have forgiven them. Help them to release any bitterness or desire for revenge, trusting in Your justice and Your timing.
Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this business. If it is built on sin or injustice, bring it to nothing, not out of vengeance, but so that Your righteousness may prevail. Provide for those who have been wronged, and open doors of opportunity for them that are just and honorable. Let Your will be done in every aspect of this situation, and let Your name be glorified.
Above all, Father, we pray that Your Gospel would be proclaimed. Let this man, and all who are lost, come to know the saving power of Jesus Christ. Remind us, Lord, that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil. Equip us to stand firm in Your truth, to speak with love, and to pray with faith, trusting in Your perfect plan.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to release this burden to the Lord. Trust in His justice and His mercy. Continue to pray for this man, not with a heart of anger, but with a desire to see him come to repentance. Pray also for yourself, that you may be filled with the peace and love of Christ, even in the face of injustice. Remember, our ultimate goal is not the destruction of our enemies but their salvation and the glory of God. Let us walk in the light of His love, extending grace even as we stand firm in the truth.
