We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts for ###, lifting her up in prayer as she battles the chains of addiction and the snares of the enemy. The scriptures warn us that the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The struggles ### faces with alcohol and ungodly relationships are not merely personal failings but strongholds of the devil, who seeks to devour and destroy. We must stand firm in the authority of Christ, for He has already overcome the powers of darkness.
First, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and the spirit of lust that has taken hold of ###’s life. The Bible tells us, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We declare in the name of Jesus that these chains are broken, and ### is set free from every bondage. The Lord is her deliverer, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her heart deeply, leading her to repentance and a turning away from these sins. Fornication and drunkenness are works of the flesh, and those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God unless they repent (Galatians 5:19-21).
### must understand that true freedom and healing come only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If she has not yet surrendered her life to Him, we pray that she would do so without delay. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is the first step toward breaking every chain. We encourage her to seek a personal relationship with Jesus, to confess her sins, and to ask for His forgiveness and cleansing. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
We also pray for godly accountability and discipleship in ###’s life. She needs to be surrounded by believers who will walk with her, pray for her, and hold her accountable as she seeks to live a life that honors God. The scriptures tell us, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance" (Proverbs 27:17). We ask the Lord to bring mature Christians into her life who can guide her, encourage her, and help her grow in her faith.
Lord God, we come before You now, lifting ### up to You. We ask that You would break every chain of addiction and bondage in her life. Deliver her from the grip of alcohol and the temptation of ungodly relationships. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in purity, self-control, and holiness. Give her a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and let her find her satisfaction in You alone. Surround her with Your love and protection, and let her experience the freedom that comes only through Jesus Christ.
Father, we pray that You would open ###’s eyes to the truth of Your Word. Let her see the destructive path she has been on and the beauty of a life lived for You. Soften her heart to receive Your correction and Your grace. Help her to flee from sexual immorality and to honor You with her body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Give her the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to make choices that align with Your will.
We declare that ### is not defined by her past or her struggles. In Christ, she is a new creation; the old has passed away, and behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We pray that she would walk in the fullness of her identity in Christ, knowing that she is loved, forgiven, and set free. May she find her worth and value in You alone, and may her life bring glory to Your name.
Lord, we ask that You would heal any physical, emotional, or spiritual wounds that ### may carry. Pour out Your healing balm upon her, and restore her to wholeness. Give her the courage to seek help if she needs it, whether through counseling, support groups, or medical care. Let her know that she does not have to face this battle alone, for You are with her, and we stand with her in prayer.
We trust in Your power, Lord, to transform lives. We believe that what is impossible with man is possible with You (Luke 18:27). We ask that You would move mightily in ###’s life, drawing her closer to You and setting her free from every chain. May she experience the joy of Your salvation and the peace that surpasses all understanding.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
