Prayer request for stomach discomfort

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My dear brothers and sisters, please pray for me. I have been experiencing stomach discomfort for several days now, starting from my upper stomach and extending up to my throat. I have been having frequent burping, occasional coughing, and sometimes the need to take deep breaths. I pray that God will touch me with His healing hands, remove all the discomfort, and restore my body to full health. May all these symptoms disappear, and may I feel completely normal again, starting today. I believe in God's healing power and trust that He will see me through this. Thank you, everyone, for your prayers. God bless you all. 🙏❤️

The Gospel of Health
Your physical health deeply shapes your spiritual life and demands careful stewardship of both body and soul.
Sickness in the Mansion
God allows suffering to push us toward a better life and calls us to trust His healing power.
Sensitiveness of Christ
Christ feels every touch of human suffering and calls you to reach out to him in faith for healing and comfort.
We have heard your request and we lift you up together before the throne of grace, asking for God's mercy and healing touch upon your body. We understand how distressing it is to live with ongoing discomfort in your stomach and throat, with frequent burping and coughing and the need to take deep breaths, and we join our faith with yours that God will restore you to full health.

We believe that God is our healer and that He cares deeply about our bodies, which are fearfully and wonderfully made. The Scripture reminds us to Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We also cling to His promise where He says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jer 30:17 and I am Yahweh who heals you Exo 15:26. We know that our Lord sees your suffering and we trust in His power to bring relief and comfort, for He invites us to come to Him when we are weary and burdened.

We noticed that your request spoke of belief in God's healing power but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently and lovingly want to share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved and our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And we are told There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It was through the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection that healing and forgiveness were made possible for us. So we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and to come to God in His precious name.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our dear brother or sister who is suffering with this stomach and throat discomfort. Lord, You know every detail of this condition, every symptom and every anxious thought. We ask that You lay Your healing hands upon this body, calm the irritation from the stomach to the throat, ease the burping and coughing, and restore normal and easy breathing. Touch every part that is inflamed or distressed and bring complete restoration and peace. We pray that starting today these symptoms would fade and that full health and strength would return according to Your will. Grant wisdom to any doctors or caregivers and help our loved one to be a good steward of the body You have given, seeking wise medical counsel while trusting fully in You as the ultimate healer. Comfort this heart with Your presence, remove fear, and fill this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord day by day, to rest in His love, and to seek medical evaluation if these symptoms persist, for God often works through the wisdom He has given to physicians. Remember also the word that Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:14-15. We stand with you in faith, believing that God hears our united prayer and will see you through this, and we give thanks for His goodness and mercy.

Thank you for letting us pray with you. Living with that pressure from your upper stomach up to your throat, with frequent burping and coughing and feeling like you need to take deep breaths, can be wearing and worrying, especially when it has gone on for several days. We hear how much you want to feel normal again and we are joining you in asking God for relief and restoration.

While we pray, we also want to gently encourage you to have these symptoms checked promptly by a medical professional, such as your primary care doctor or clinic. Symptoms that affect your throat and breathing are important to have evaluated in person, and a clinician can listen well and guide next steps. We will keep praying as you seek that care.

You are not alone in this and we thank you for trusting us to pray with you. We know it helps to have others standing with you while you wait for answers. We are trusting God with you for His nearness and help day by day.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask for Your mercy and touch. Ease the discomfort, calm the cough and unease, and give wisdom to any clinicians who care for them. Give peace in the waiting and strength for each day, and guide them toward restored health according to Your good will. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your request for prayer has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to look upon you in mercy in this bodily affliction.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek relief. You describe discomfort rising from the upper stomach to the throat, with frequent burping, occasional coughing and the need to take deep breaths. We bring all these symptoms before the Great Physician, of whom it is written, He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. There was not in the whole list of diseases one which the Savior did not heal when He walked among men, and there is still an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, to teach us that the least thing about Christ is healing virtue, and that His touch can change the life blood and restore vigor.

We pray that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon you, ease the distress in your stomach and throat, quiet the cough, settle the breath, and remove every discomfort, restoring your body to full health according to His wise and loving will. We ask that you may feel relief even this day, and be made to rejoice in His goodness, offering praise to Him who both pardons and heals.

And while we pray earnestly for the body, we remember also the higher healing of the soul. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and it is the Word of God applied by the Holy Spirit, even Christ Himself who is the Word, that heals sin sick souls. If you have not already done so, look to Him who drained the bitter cup of our sickness and sin upon the cross, that you may have pardon and peace with God, which is the foundation of all other comfort. Only those who have been healed can tell of the Good Physician's power, and we trust you will have occasion to tell of it.

Continue to trust the Lord, use the means He has provided with wisdom, and seek the counsel of a physician if these symptoms persist, for the Lord often works through such means, while our confidence remains in Him. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and may the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you with healing in His wings.

We will continue to remember you in prayer, that whether the healing comes at once or by degrees, you may be sustained by His presence and know that no sickness in the child of God is without purpose or without end, for in the end He will banish all sickness and suffering where the Tree of Life stands.

May the Lord grant you rest, relief and restored health, and may His peace keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Amen.

Stomach discomfort that climbs from your upper stomach up toward your throat, with burping and coughing mixed in, sounds miserable to live with day after day. There is a spoken prayer called the Acid Reflux Prayer on the One Prayer at a Time YouTube channel, prayed over the valve at the base of the esophagus keeping acid and food moving in the right direction. Listening is all it asks of you. I hope it brings you some comfort and steadier days.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we join you in prayer before the Lord for your healing. You have described discomfort beginning in the upper stomach and rising to the throat, with frequent burping, occasional coughing, and at times needing to take deep breaths. We bring all of this to God and ask Him to touch you with His mercy, to ease these symptoms, and to restore you to full health.

We pray that God will grant you relief and strength, and that you will feel normal again soon. We also encourage you to trust His loving care even while you wait for healing, knowing that He hears every prayer offered in faith through Jesus Christ.

Scripture reminds us that even faithful and virtuous people experience bodily infirmities, and we should not be troubled or think that God has forgotten us when this happens. Paul wrote to Timothy, who fasted strictly and drank only water, that he should use a little wine for the sake of his stomach and his frequent infirmities. Paul could have healed him directly, for God had worked great miracles through him, but he left him to be helped by the ordinary rules of medicine. This was to humble him, to keep him from pride, and to teach us that those who serve God are still men of the same nature as ourselves and are helped through proper care.

In the same way, God often heals through the work of physicians and through careful attention to the body. As one physician applies medicine again and again until health returns, so we should not neglect the help God has provided. If a sick person will not obey the rules of the physician, he increases his own infirmity. Therefore while we pray for you, we also urge you to seek care from a qualified doctor promptly, especially with symptoms that affect your throat and breathing. Share with him all that you have described, follow his counsel, and be careful with food and drink and rest.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your mercy upon our brother and sister who is suffering. You know this discomfort and every symptom. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon this body, calm the stomach, ease the throat, take away the burping and coughing and labored breathing, and restore health and peace. Give wisdom to doctors and all who give care, give patience and hope in the waiting, and give faith to trust You in all things. We thank You that You are the true physician of soul and body, and we ask this according to Your good will. Amen.

We will continue to pray for you. May the Lord grant you relief, strengthen you day by day, and bring you to complete health in His time.
