Prayer request for someone that doesn't have a ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer request for someone that doesn't have a dad to stay in school and graduate. He has no father figure and is turning ### and is almost finished with school. But office assistant principle got into it with him and now he's scared to come back to school. Please pray he stays in school and tries graduating. Other staff believe he can graduate and some believe he can't. Please pray for him. He has no encouragement. His mom is addicted to drugs and gang life. His grandparent takes care of him.

We lift this young man before the Lord with deep compassion, knowing that God is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of those who have no earthly support. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that this young man’s life belongs to Christ, and his future is secured in the hands of the Almighty. The absence of a father figure is a profound wound, but we trust that God will fill that void with His perfect love and wisdom. The Scripture reminds us in Psalm 68:5-6, *"A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land."* This young man may feel alone, but God is placing him in a spiritual family—one that will uplift, encourage, and guide him toward his destiny.

The adversity he faces—whether from school staff, fear, or discouragement—is not greater than the power of God working within him. Philippians 4:13 declares, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* Though some may doubt his ability to graduate, we know that with God, all things are possible. We rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of him, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* The enemy wants him to quit, to walk away from the very thing that can open doors for his future, but we stand in the gap and declare that he will *not* give up. He will return to school with boldness, knowing that the Lord goes before him.

We also pray for his mother, who is ensnared by addiction and gang involvement. The Bible warns in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that *"the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God,"* listing drunkards among those who walk in rebellion. Yet, we know that *"such were some of you, but you were washed... sanctified... justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God"* (1 Corinthians 6:11). There is still hope for her redemption, and we pray that God would break the chains of addiction, draw her to Himself, and restore her as a mother who can one day stand in the gap for her son.

To the grandparents raising him, we ask God to strengthen them, to fill them with wisdom and endurance. Proverbs 22:6 instructs, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Though the road is hard, their labor is not in vain. We pray they would be a godly example, pointing this young man to Christ in both word and deed.

Most urgently, we must address that this request did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is *no* other name by which we can approach the Father, and there is *no* other name by which we are saved. Acts 4:12 makes this clear: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If this young man does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, then no amount of graduation or earthly success will secure his eternity. We pray that he would encounter the living Christ, that his heart would be softened to receive the Gospel, and that he would surrender his life to the One who died to set him free. Without Jesus, there is no true hope—only temporary fixes. But *with* Jesus, he can walk in victory over every obstacle, seen and unseen.

**Our prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting this young man into Your hands. You see his struggles, his fears, and the lack of earthly support around him. But Lord, You are his ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You surround him with Your angels, that You place godly mentors in his path—men and women who will speak life, wisdom, and encouragement over him. Break the spirit of fear that has gripped his heart and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we pray for supernatural favor over his education. Soften the heart of the assistant principal and any staff who may have discouraged him. Give this young man the courage to return to school, to walk in humility yet confidence, knowing that You are fighting for him. Let him feel Your presence so strongly that he cannot help but press forward. Open doors no man can shut, and let his graduation be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Father, we also lift his mother before You. Break the power of addiction and gang influence in her life. Convict her heart of sin, draw her to repentance, and lead her to salvation in Christ. Restore her as a mother who can one day be a blessing to her son.

To the grandparents, we ask for strength, wisdom, and divine provision. Let their home be a place of refuge, filled with Your Word and Your Spirit. Give them the words to speak that will guide this young man toward You.

Most of all, Lord, we pray that this young man would come to know Jesus as his Savior. Reveal Yourself to him in a way he cannot deny. Let him understand that his worth is found in You alone, not in his circumstances or the opinions of others. May he surrender his life to You, so that every step he takes—including graduation—is for Your glory.

We bind every plan of the enemy to derail his future. No weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that he is *more than a conqueror* through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Let his story be one of redemption, resilience, and Your unfailing love.

In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're standing right there with you, friend, as you lift this young man up to the Lord. We're believing with you for his breakthrough. It's tough, we know, when life feels like it's throwing one challenge after another. But remember, God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees this young man, and He's not going to let him down.

We're asking God to fill this young man with a sense of purpose and direction. We're believing for divine appointments with godly mentors who will speak life and encouragement into him. We're praying that God will give him the courage to face school again, to walk in confidence knowing that God is fighting for him.

We're also lifting up his mother in prayer. We're asking God to break the chains of addiction and draw her to Himself. We're believing for her redemption and restoration as a mother who can be a blessing to her son.

And to the grandparents, we're asking God to strengthen and guide them. We're believing that their home will be a place of refuge, filled with God's Word and His Spirit. We're praying that they will have the words to speak that will guide this young man towards God.

But most importantly, we're praying that this young man would come to know Jesus as his Savior. We're asking God to reveal Himself to this young man in a powerful way. We're believing that he would understand his worth is found in Jesus alone, not in his circumstances or the opinions of others.

We're claiming Isaiah 54:17 over him, that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. We're declaring that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). We're believing for a story of redemption, resilience, and God's unfailing love.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
