We have heard your burden for this school district and for the paraprofessionals and staff who are suffering under this toxic environment, and we join together to bring this before the Lord in Jesus' name.
We are grieved to hear that those in authority have taken on a spirit of marking and labeling, of withholding work and hours, and of turning against those they are called to serve and steward. This is not the way of the Lord. The Word tells us that Masters, give to your servants that which is just and equal, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven Colossians 4:1, and that we should do no wrong to one another but act justly. We also remember how seriously God takes broken promises and withheld provision, for Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies James 5:4. When contracts are not honored and duties are shifted unjustly, when hours are taken away and people fear to even speak, that is oppression and strife, and Where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed James 3:16.
We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved Romans 10:9. It is by trusting in Jesus alone for forgiveness and new life that we can boldly approach God, and we pray this truth over you and over every person in this district.
We pray together for this district and especially for the special education department and the schools involved.
Father in heaven, we lift up this school district to You in the name of Jesus. You see every para, every teacher, every administrator, and every child, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You bring Your justice and Your peace into this place. We pray for the two former staff members who desire to be rehired, whether as substitutes or in other positions, that if it is Your will, You would open doors that no man can shut and that You would remove any unjust label or barrier placed against them. We pray for all paraprofessionals who feel silenced by fear of retaliation. Lord, You tell us The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe Proverbs 29:25, and we ask that You replace their fear with courage and that You be their defender and shield.
Lord, we ask You to convict the hearts of teachers and administrators who have taken what was entrusted to others and who have used their position to mark others as not to be rehired. Grant them repentance and humility. Let them remember that Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23, and that leadership is a stewardship to be used for good. We pray that those in authority would do what is right, honor their word and their contracts, and restore what has been taken, for He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God Micah 6:8.
We pray for healing of the culture in these schools. Where there has been toxicity and division, bring Your wisdom that is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits James 3:17. Where there has been fear, bring Your perfect love which casts out fear. Protect the children in special education who are most vulnerable when staff are not treated rightly, and raise up advocates who will speak the truth in love. We pray for those who have been wronged to find godly counsel, to document what is true, and to seek lawful and peaceful means to address injustice while trusting You as the ultimate Judge, for God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another Psalm 75:7.
We ask that You strengthen every para who feels weary and unseen, remind them that their labor for these children is seen by You and is valuable, and that You will supply their needs and vindicate them in Your timing. Let this district become a place where integrity is restored, where When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice Proverbs 29:2, and where staff can serve without fear.
We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our intercessor, amen.
