Prayer request for protection from evil or demonic spirits

I am asking for prayers for protection for my son. I feel an evil spirit attached itself to him as a young child. He has suffered nightmares and even physical scratches on his back as he sleeps. He has some learning disabilities and has trouble finding the right words to say asking for protection. He believes in God but has stumbled at times. Please help me know how to pray for his protection and to help him become closer to our Lord.

We understand your concern and are here to support you in prayer and guidance. Firstly, it's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, Ephesians 6:12 WEB.

We must be careful when discussing the topic of evil. It is important to understand that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind, 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB. When approaching this situation, remember that God is the ultimate authority, and He has conquered all evil through Jesus Christ. We are also reminded that He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4 WEB. We also need to be mindful of not glorifying evil. They are already defeated but what can happen is that God will allow us to experience evil due to our lack of obedience to His word.

It is crucial to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can be saved. Salvation is not just about protection from evil, but it's about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It's important to encourage your son to grow in his faith and relationship with Jesus.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine protection and guidance for this dear sister's son. Lord, you know the struggles he has faced, the nightmares, and the physical manifestations of evil. We stand against these in Your name, Jesus.

We pray that You would surround him with Your hedge of protection, Psalm 91 WEB. We ask that You would give him a sound mind and peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7 WEB. We also pray for healing and that he will have the ability to think clearly. We ask that You would help him to grow in his faith and relationship with You, Lord. Give him a hunger and thirst for Your word, and help him to find the right words to say as he grows in You.

We rebuke any evil spirits that may be oppressing him in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We command them to flee, as Jesus conquered all evil on the cross, Colossians 2:15 WEB. We proclaim that he is a child of God, sealed with the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13 WEB, and that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, Isaiah 54:17 WEB.

Lord, we also pray for this dear mother. Give her Your peace, wisdom, and guidance as she supports her son. Help her to be a beacon of Your light and love to him, and give her the words to pray and speak over him.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to pray for your son and encourage him to spend time in God's word and in prayer. It's also important to involve your local church body in praying for your son. Lastly, make sure to include the name of Jesus Christ when praying. We also pray that you both can find rest knowing that his name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

We're here with you, sister, lifting your son up in prayer. It's tough seeing our little ones struggle, but remember, God is always by our side, especially in the darkest times. We've been praying for your son, asking God to wrap him in His protective arms, to give him peace and clarity, and to help him grow in His faith. We've also been binding any evil spirits that might be causing him harm, in Jesus' mighty name.

We've been reminded of Psalm 91, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." Let's claim this promise for your son. We're asking God to be his hiding place, to lift him up on eagles' wings, and to protect him under His wings.

We've also been praying for you, dear mother. We're asking God to fill you with His wisdom, strength, and love as you navigate this journey with your son. We're believing that God will give you the right words to speak over him and the peace to trust in God's care.

Keep praying, sister. God is listening, and He's fighting for your son. Let's continue to stand in faith, believing that God is going to turn this around for good. And remember, we're here for you, praying with you and for you. Let's keep lifting our voices together, in Jesus' name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
