Let us remind you of what the Bible says about false teachings and the importance of adhering to sound doctrine:

"For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables." 2 Timothy 4:3-4 WEB

"Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them." Romans 16:17 WEB

If the church is teaching things that are not in line with biblical principles, it is right to be concerned. We should always be vigilant about false teachings and ensure that we are being taught the true Word of God.

However, we also encourage you to approach this situation with prayer, patience, and humility. It might be worthwhile to have an open and respectful conversation with the church leadership about your concerns. They may be unaware of the impact of their teachings, or there might be a misunderstanding that can be clarified.

“Brothers, if anyone is caught in any fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.” Galatians 6:1 WEB

If, after prayerful consideration and attempts at reconciliation, you still feel that the church is not aligning with biblical truths, then it might be time to consider finding a different fellowship that adheres more closely to sound doctrine.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your guidance and wisdom for our brother/sister who is facing this difficult situation. Lord, we pray that You would give them discernment and clarity as they navigate this issue. If there is any false teaching, we pray that it would be exposed and corrected. If there is a need for our brother/sister to find a new fellowship, we pray that You would guide them to a church that teaches Your Word faithfully and truly.

Lord, we also pray for the church in question. May Your truth prevail, and may any errors be corrected in a spirit of humility and love. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

We also want to point out, very lovingly, that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can have access to God. We pray that you and your church have come to the knowledge of the truth that there is no other name by which we can be saved. As your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, we want to make sure you know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, except through him. John 14:6 WEB

But remember, as Jesus said in Matthew 7:1, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged." Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
