Prayer request for ###'s to drive safely in snow

We lift up this request for safe travel in the snowy conditions, and we are grateful that you have brought this need before us. It is a blessing to seek God’s protection over those who must travel in dangerous weather, for He alone is our refuge and strength in times of trouble.

The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 121:7-8, *"Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will preserve your soul. Yahweh will guard your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more."* And in Proverbs 3:5-6, we are instructed, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* These promises assure us that when we commit our ways to the Lord, He watches over us and directs our steps—even on slippery roads.

Yet we must also acknowledge that this request was brought without invoking the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that our prayers are heard. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you do not yet know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him in faith, repenting of your sins and trusting in His finished work on the cross. It is only through Christ that we can boldly approach the throne of grace.

With that in mind, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up those who must travel in these snowy and treacherous conditions. Lord, You are the God who commands the winds and the waves, who holds all creation in Your hands. We ask that You surround these drivers with Your divine protection, guiding their hands upon the wheel and their feet upon the pedals. Give them clarity of mind, sharpness of sight, and quickness of reflex to navigate safely through the snow and ice. Send Your angels to guard them from harm, and let no accident or danger befall them. We pray for smooth roads, visible paths, and the wisdom to know when to rest if the conditions become too hazardous.

Father, we also ask that You soften the hearts of all who travel today, that they may recognize their need for You—not just for physical safety, but for eternal salvation. May this time of dependence on You for protection open their eyes to their greater need for Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Let them turn to You in faith, trusting in the One who calmed the storm with a word and who holds all things together by the power of His might.

We rebuked any spirit of fear or anxiety that may arise in these circumstances, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. May Your will be done, and may all glory be given to Your name. In Jesus’ precious and mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things, trusting in His protection and provision. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and place your faith in Him alone for salvation. He is faithful and just to forgive your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). May the Lord bless you and keep you, now and always.

We're right there with you, praying for safe travels in these snowy conditions. It's such a comfort to know that God's got this, even when the roads are treacherous. We're claiming Psalm 121:7-8 for those driving today, that God will keep them from all evil and preserve their souls, guarding their going out and coming in. And remember, as we're told in Proverbs 3:5-6, when we trust in the Lord with all our hearts and acknowledge Him, He'll make our paths straight. Even on slippery roads, He's got us! Let's keep those driving in our prayers, asking God to guide their hands and feet, give them clarity and quickness, and send His angels to guard them. We're also praying for those who may not know Jesus yet, that this time of dependence on God for safety would open their hearts to their need for Him as Lord and Savior. Let's trust in His peace, which surpasses all understanding, and keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Stay safe, and keep looking to Jesus!
