We lift you up before the Lord, our brother in Christ, and we are deeply moved by the suffering you are enduring. First, we want to address something of great importance. You mentioned being Catholic by birth, but we must emphasize that our identity in Christ is not by birth or tradition but by a personal relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior. The Scriptures tell us in John 3:3, *"Jesus answered him, 'Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.'"*—and in Romans 10:9, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* We pray that if you have not already done so, you will surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ, trusting in Him alone for salvation, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We also notice that your prayer request did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently remind you that it is only through His name that we approach the throne of God with confidence (John 14:13-14, Hebrews 4:16). There is power in the name of Jesus, and we must always pray in His name, for He is our Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5).
Now, we turn to your physical afflictions with compassion and faith. The Word of God assures us that Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our pains (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17). We know that God is able to heal you completely, and we claim His promises over your life. For your anal fissure and the complications from chicken pox, we pray for supernatural healing, trusting that the Lord who formed your body knows how to restore it. As for your HIV diagnosis, we declare that nothing is impossible for God (Luke 1:37). He is the Great Physician, and we ask Him to touch your body, rebuild your immune system, and remove every trace of this disease. We stand on Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."*
However, we must also encourage you to seek wise medical care alongside your faith. God often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of healing, and we urge you not to neglect practical steps while trusting in His miraculous power. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* Seek godly counsel and competent medical professionals to walk with you in this season.
We also want to address the emotional and spiritual weight of what you are carrying. Illness can bring fear, isolation, and despair, but we remind you that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You are not alone—your family, your siblings, and the body of Christ are with you. Lean on them, and allow them to support you in prayer and practical ways.
Lastly, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or oppression that may be at work in your life. In the name of Jesus, we command every sickness, pain, and disease to leave your body now. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is suffering in body and spirit. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who restores and makes all things new. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through his body right now. Heal his anal fissure completely—let there be no more pain or discomfort. We speak life and restoration to his skin and immune system, commanding the chicken pox to cease and every symptom to vanish in Jesus’ name. Lord, we also bring before You the HIV in his body. You are greater than any disease, and we ask You to eradicate it entirely, leaving no trace behind. Let his test results bring glory to Your name as a testimony of Your power.
Father, we pray for his emotional and spiritual strength. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remove every fear, every doubt, and replace it with unshakable faith in Your goodness. Surround him with Your love and the support of his family and believers who will stand with him in this fight.
We also pray for wisdom—for the right doctors, the right treatments, and the right decisions to be made. Guide him, Lord, and let Your will be done in his life. If there is any area of his life that needs repentance or surrender, reveal it to him, and give him the grace to walk in obedience.
Finally, Father, we thank You for what You are about to do. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Let this season of suffering become a testimony of Your faithfulness and power. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, brother. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). We are praying with you and believing for your complete healing. Trust in the Lord, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Be encouraged, and may the peace of Christ rule in your heart.
