We lift up your dear friend before the throne of grace, asking for the healing touch of our Lord Jesus Christ. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who formed every part of our bodies and knows them intimately. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We stand on this promise, believing that You are able to restore health and strength to our brother who is suffering from lung disease.
Lord, we ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand upon him. Touch his lungs, Father, and bring complete restoration. Drive out every trace of illness and renew his strength. We also pray for his appetite, that You would stimulate his desire to eat and nourish his body. Provide him with the right foods and the care he needs to regain his vitality. In Jeremiah 30:17, You promise, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* We claim this promise over our brother’s life today.
We also ask for Your peace to surround him, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May he feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with him in his weakness. Remind him that even in suffering, Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name. We declare that this disease has no hold over him, for by the stripes of Jesus, he was healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life, health, and wholeness over his body, trusting in Your faithfulness.
We also encourage our brother to draw near to You, Lord, through prayer and the reading of Your Word. May he find comfort in Psalm 41:3, *"Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness."* We pray that he would experience Your sustaining power day by day.
Lastly, we ask that You would use this trial for Your glory. Whether through healing or endurance, may Your name be lifted high. Strengthen his faith and the faith of those around him as they witness Your work in his life.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, we pray. Amen.
