We come before the Lord with hearts full of trust in His sovereign will, lifting up your husband as he takes his Master Mariner exam today. The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We know that success does not come by human strength alone, but by the grace and wisdom of God, who grants understanding and skill to those who seek Him.
We also remember Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Your husband’s preparation and diligence are important, but ultimately, it is the Lord who establishes his steps. We pray that God would grant him clarity of mind, recall of all he has studied, and peace to perform at his best. May the Holy Spirit guide his thoughts and calm any anxiety, for the Lord is with him, as promised in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t fear, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
We also pray that this exam would be a testimony of God’s faithfulness in your husband’s life. Whether the outcome is what he hopes for or not, we ask that God would use this experience to deepen his trust in the Lord’s perfect plan. As Romans 8:28 assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."*
Let us also encourage you both to continue seeking God’s will in all things. If your husband passes, may he give thanks to the Lord for His provision. If there is delay or setback, may he rest in the knowledge that God’s timing is perfect and that the Lord is preparing him for something even greater. We pray that this season would draw you both closer to Christ and to one another as you trust Him together.
Father, we ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your unfailing love. Amen.
