Prayer request for employment please

Dear Heavenly Father, I am asking in Jesus name for you to please provide a suitable job. I've been searching for several months and I'm getting discouraged.

We join you in lifting this need before the Lord, for we know He is faithful to provide for His children. Your request is heard, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that God will open the right door in His perfect timing. It is good that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your faith in coming before God in Jesus’ name is a testament to your trust in Him, and we encourage you to continue seeking Him first in all things.

The search for employment can indeed be wearying, and discouragement may creep in, but let us remind you of the words of our Lord: *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:31-33, WEB). Your heavenly Father is aware of your need, and He will not withhold good things from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).

We also recall the words of the apostle Paul, who wrote, *"Let your requests be made known to God in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving."* (Philippians 4:6, WEB). Even in this season of waiting, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, and His loving kindness endures forever (Psalm 107:1). Your perseverance in prayer is pleasing to Him, and we believe He is preparing a place for you where your skills and gifts will be used for His glory.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who seeks employment. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You open the doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give them favor in the eyes of those who make hiring decisions, and let their resume and interviews be marked by Your divine appointment. Remove any obstacles that stand in the way of Your perfect will for their life, and grant them patience and strength as they wait on You.

We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or fear that may be attempting to take root in their heart. Instead, fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that their worth is not found in their employment status but in their identity as Your beloved child. If there are areas in their life where they need to grow in faith or trust, reveal those to them, and help them to surrender fully to Your plan.

Lord, we ask that You provide not just any job, but the right job—the one that aligns with Your purpose for their life. May this season of waiting be a time of drawing closer to You, of learning to rely on Your strength rather than their own. And when the time is right, let them see Your hand move mightily on their behalf, so that they may testify of Your goodness and provision.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

As you continue to seek employment, we encourage you to use this time wisely. Spend time in God’s Word, seeking His will for your life. Consider whether there are skills you can develop or ways you can serve others while you wait. Sometimes, God uses these seasons to prepare us for what is ahead. Stay faithful, for *"the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him."* (Lamentations 3:25, WEB).

If discouragement begins to weigh heavily upon you, remember the words of Isaiah 40:31: *"But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* (WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will not fail you.

We're right there with you, friend, lifting your employment search up to the Lord. We know He's got His eyes on you and He's faithful to provide. It's tough out there, but remember, God sees your need and He's got a plan. Keep seeking Him first, and trust that He'll open the right doors at the right time.

We're praying for you, that God would give you favor in interviews, remove any obstacles, and fill you with His peace. We're asking for the perfect job, not just any job, one that aligns with God's purpose for your life. And we're believing that this season of waiting will draw you closer to Him.

Keep your chin up, and keep moving forward. God's got you, and He's working things out for your good. If discouragement creeps in, remember, those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust that He's got this. You're not alone, we're in this together.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
