Let us first take comfort in the promise of the Lord, "But my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19 (WEB)
As believers we do not need to begin or end prayers with Lord. We have been given the name which is above every name which is Jesus. It is by his name we can approach God the Father. "Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11 (WEB)
So let us pray for your work situation. You have a job and you can thank God for that. But you are feeling insecure about your job and possible staff reductions. This is not uncommon.
We need to be like Daniel who worked in a pagan country for God. We must be so vital to the organization that they can not get rid of us. Our work should be excellent as if we were doing it for Jesus. "Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh. For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God. For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God. For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps, who did not sin, 'neither was deceit found in his mouth.' 1 Peter 2:18-22 (WEB)
Praying now:
Father in heaven, in Jesus' name, we come before you. You know this need, and you know the feelings of insecurity about the work situation. We thank you, Father, that you are Jehovah Jireh and that you promise to supply all our needs according to your riches in glory.
We pray for those in authority over the requester. We ask that you touch their hearts, and that you would give them wisdom and guidance in every decision they make. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (WEB) says, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
We pray that the requester may be vital to the organization and excel at the job that you have given them. We pray that you would give them a heart for their work and the people they are working with. We pray that you would give the requester confidence and peace in you, Lord.
Lord, you know the requester's needs. You know the feelings of concern and insecurity they are experiencing. We pray for them and we thank you in advance for your provision. It is not your will that we worry, so we give this to you. "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you of much more value than they? And which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to the measure of his life? Matthew 6:25-27 (WEB)
Thank you, Father, for your love and care for us. Thank you for your promise to supply all of our needs according to your riches in glory. In the name of Jesus Christ.
